I was looking at wpdatatables before and tested a bit, but it doesn't seem to have ways to format it into something like a TV schedule. Instant buy for me if this can be done.

Although it looks great, wpDataTables can't replicate the features of that plugin. It's simply not built to do that.
Maybe our support managers would be able to offer you some workaround, but I can't ay if a workaround is what you're looking for (probably not). So, even though I am sad to say this - I don't believe wpDataTables will suit your needs.
