Finally, payments on WordPress without the WooCommerce bloat
I run a small service-based business and all I needed was a way to collect payments and send invoices — I didn't need an entire e-commerce store. WP SmartPay was exactly the answer. I connected my Stripe account, picked a form template, and had a working checkout page live in under five minutes. No code, no shopping cart, no bloat.
What really sold me: it only loads its scripts on pages with a payment form, so the rest of my site stays fast. I've also set up a monthly subscription plan for one of my retainer services, and the recurring billing just runs on autopilot — no more chasing clients for payments every month.
The drag-and-drop form builder is genuinely intuitive. I added custom fields (dropdown for service tier, a text field for project notes) and the whole thing looks clean and professional out of the box. And with support for 14+ payment methods across 157+ currencies, I've been able to take payments from international clients without any friction.
Support has been excellent too — I got a real, helpful reply within hours, not days. The documentation is clear enough that I rarely need to reach out in the first place.
If you need to accept payments on WordPress and WooCommerce feels like overkill, stop looking. This is it.
