Hi, I have a question regarding the promised BYOK feature.
From what I understand, BYOK now seems to be handled through Fal.ai. Does this mean that Fal.ai is the actual BYOK solution?
The reason I’m asking is: I already have a paid Google AI Pro account which includes access to models like Veo 3, so I technically already pay for usage.
Do I still need to create a separate Fal.ai account and pay additionally there in order to use my existing provider access inside Yapper?
Or will Yapper support direct BYOK for Google AI keys without requiring Fal.ai in between?

Thank you for the question.
Google is notoriously complicated when it comes to keys. Your Google AI Pro account doesn't expose API keys that you can use for generations. The standard way to call Google services through an API is to use Google Vertex, which is their cloud API solution and doesn't share accounts or plans with Google AI Pro.
Either way you would need to create a new service account for either Vertex or FAL, but FAL is much easier to manage .
