Q: Fictional stories
Hi Loannis,
On your website, under FAQ's, I've read that your team is working on making it possible to create fictional stories in the future. Solely for this reason, I'm investing big into your product.
I appreciate your product aiming towards quality instead of 'fastfood-like' results. I love this approach and it's rare in this AI atmposphere nowadays.
I am patient, but mostly curious to what timefrime this new option will be available. What timeframe is your team calculating before we can create fiction stories?
(Now I'm testing with creating fiction nonetheless ^^)

Oct 17, 2025A: Hey there crazy sumoling! I would hate to not deliver on your trust and I will definitely rewrite the answer to that question because it suggests we are actively working on this, whereas ware not. Expanding to fiction would be abig investment step for youbooks (mostly because we would only do it if we could do it right). I think fiction requires a completely different approach (less workflow based, more agentic) which means that we would sitll have to "invent" a few things along the way and not all non-fiction domain knowledge would transfer over.
There is a road map at youbooks.com/roadmap and you will notice fiction is not there yet. This is because it's not really a feature, it's a different product (at least from the design perspective).
The bottom line is, for youbooks to expand into fiction, we must be well established with a large recurring revenue in non-fiction. If you would like to take the risk (after all, that's what we LTD buyers do), perhaps you should go with a Tier 1 or 2.
Also, heads up, if you ask youbooks to generate ficiton now, it will flat out refue it. If you manage to get through th filter somehow, the result will be... weird.
