Big Claims, Major Limits
The headline promise doesn’t match reality. A 10MB upload cap makes “use your source material” impractical for nonfiction research. The platform also lacks the depth of controls needed for consistent style/voice across a full manuscript, and content-source workflows aren’t strong enough to support credible, structured nonfiction. If something breaks, the 24-hour support response time stalls production. I purchased months ago expecting improvements, but the same core limitations remain.

Jan 24, 2026Actually, youbooks has the strongest consistency across manuscript from any book maker app. It's also the only app that allows you to train a custom model to apply the same voice on the entire manuscript. So, in terms of consistency, there is nothing better on the market by a long shot.
If you know a tool that does can generate a 100K word book in a more consistent tone than Youbooks, we would love to hear about it!
