Huge bait and switch. The seller promised lifetime access, and then promptly ran off and sold the platform to another company that didn't honor these lifetime licenses. The seller created a "legacy" platform to support these (https://legacy.ytcopycat.com), but this ran on reduced functionality with no support. For example, I haven't received a YouTube summary to my mailbox since August 2025, despite this still being fully set up on this "legacy" platform. That was the primary feature that I used, so the service has now become largely defunct for me.

I've updated my review since the developer actually took the time to respond. https://ytcopycat.muware.xyz/ Link is blocked either via Windows or Virus protection. Can't get to the link get a 404 error. Using a VPN will work by adding it to your whitelist.

I am extremely disappointed with this product. Many promises were not kept after the purchase. Initially, everything seemed fine, which is why I didn’t request a refund, but things changed over time, and the service degraded significantly. this product is, at this point, completely unusable and utterly useless.

When I contacted support, their response was:
"As YT Copycat evolves, some adjustments are necessary to keep the service sustainable and efficient. That said, these changes are in line with the Terms of Service you agreed to, which allow for software updates and modifications over time."

This essentially translates to: "You've paid already? You don’t have any rights anymore." Absolutely unacceptable and dishonest.

Sadly, this is one of the many scams you can find on this platform! Sure, there are some good products here, but you really have to be careful—many are just money-grabbing junk.

Would not recommend this product to anyone

Edit: I am responding to the (non-)response from the "Founder Team": this is not a misunderstanding. I emailed the (ex?) founder, and he confirmed that my credits have been halved due to "inscrutable corporate issues"—I even quoted his exact words in my first post.

For future reference, before responding inaccurately, make sure you fully understand the actual issues affecting the clients.

Two main promises of the application have been removed without even a message from the creator:

1. It is no longer possible to automatically prepare articles for WordPress by subscribing to a YouTube channel.
2. It is also no longer possible to automatically receive summaries of YouTube videos in your email inbox upon publication.

So, let's be honest, the software is no better than a well-crafted prompt on ChatGPT, Merlin, or other similar applications. What a shame, this ability to automatically receive in the email inbox made it an exceptional software. I hope the creator will reconsider.
