Q: I've created a website that I have a verify particular way of displaying videos, can I use your plugin to just pull in those videos?
Does it create a new CPT in the backend when adding videos? Because i Have a dedicated CPT I've created for that. How much customization can we do on the videos that gets displayed?

Jul 27, 2024A: Yes, YT2Posts imports the videos in a custom post type (CPT), so that you can easily differentiate them from other post types.
YT2Posts comes with default templates for showcasing the videos in a grid, in a slider and also with a default single-post template. In YT2Posts settings, you can easily modify some styling options like font color and background color. However, you can create custom templates using your theme or a page builder, in which case the possibilities are endless.
imageburstCan you explain the method in which you use to embed your videos to a post? You mention that it doesn't use iframe method, how else can you get a video to show up on a post?
Also, is there a way I can use my own custom post type when using your product to pull in the videos?
YT2Posts imports all the videos into a custom post type (CPT). In the YT2Posts settings, you can choose the slug of this CPT that will appear in all the links.
If you still prefer to make YT2Posts import the videos into your own CPT, you can use a plugin like https://wordpress.org/plugins/post-type-switcher/. We will be adding this feature in some of the future versions.
