Q: CNAME/ CUSTOM DOMAIN
Hi Gurtaj,
is it really true that Tier 3 Sumolings have to pay extra for custom domains now?
You introduced a new “Business Plan” just to move this feature out of reach… that feels really off. We supported you early, trusted you, and bought the highest tier. You wouldn’t seriously want your loyal backers to feel tricked like that, right?
Can you clear this up?

Nov 17, 2025A: Hi there — thank you for taking the time to share your concerns, and I completely understand why this change felt confusing.
To clarify: the AppSumo deal granted lifetime access to our Pro Plan, exactly as it existed at the time of the promotion. The Pro Plan has never included CNAME/custom domains, and this wasn’t a feature that was removed or shifted away from AppSumo customers. When we later introduced the Business Plan, it added several new capabilities — including CNAME — but it did not take anything away from what Pro Plan users already had.
I genuinely appreciate your early support, and I want to reassure you that there was no intention to move features out of reach or disadvantage Sumolings. Your Pro Plan access remains fully intact with all features originally included.
If you have any questions or want to talk through your setup, I’m more than happy to help. Thank you again for supporting us from the beginning — it means a lot.
Hi Gurtaj,
on Jan 25 you said CNAME was on the roadmap and you weren’t sure which tier it would be in. I bought the highest tier because of that. (Check my account — we only have 2 users.) It was clearly a CNAME-motivated purchase.
Now it’s locked behind a new Business Plan, and honestly, I feel scammed. What can we do here?
I agree. It was definitely stated that CNAME would be available on one of the tiers later this year. They should do the right thing and add it to tier 3.
Otherwise, I’d accept a refund at this point. Let’s see what Gurtaj decides to do. I think he’s a good guy who just made a wrong move.
Gurtaj? Are you still with me?
