Almost there
I got this deal and the builder is great. Our company has built over 1000 sites in elementor, we know there is an issue with speed and tried Zion. It is good but still there is room for improvement to get this into our production as we feel it is not ready yet.
We installed one of the templates provided, the slider is broken on mobile and it shows all the slides in carousel (but the display we chose is to show 1 slide).
Web. dev also shows ratings of 75-76-76-72 (no extra plugins installed, just zion builder and pro)
These are the same errors that elementor has, so please tell me how this is so much better? or I need to install extra plugins as well. Was not able to find any on the documentation
These are the errors from Web.dev
High Performance Eliminate render-blocking resources
High Performance Properly size images
High Performance Defer offscreen images
High Performance Reduce unused CSS
High Performance Reduce unused JavaScript
High Performance Efficiently encode images
High Performance Serve images in next-gen formats
High Accessibility Buttons do not have an accessible name
High Accessibility Image elements do not have `[alt]` attributes
I will keep the deal for future improvements and more templates, I am sure the team is going to make this builder , one of the best ones in the market

May 9, 2024Hi there,
Thank you so much for trying out our builder. We do our best to provide the fastest page builder on the market, and, from the reviews I see on YouTube, we deliver this promise ( I am talking about WordPress page builders that offer the same functionality as ours ).
Regarding your tests, I would need to look at the page and see what theme are you using for tests as I noticed several errors that cannot come from the builder and I will try to explain why:
- High Performance Eliminate render-blocking resources - The builder only loads its necessary assets. It may be possible that this error is coming from the theme
- High Performance Properly size images - The builder lets you choose the exact image size you want to use, and, on top of this it uses the HTML5 "srcset" attribute to provide various image sizes
- High Performance Defer offscreen images - The builder doesn't have a built-in lazy load system as in our tests, most of the themes do have this system implemented, and, in cases where this is not available, all caching plugins have the lazy load option.
- High Performance Reduce unused CSS - As mentioned earlier, the builder generates the minimal amount of CSS needed for a page. Also, in the next update, this will be greatly improved.
- High Performance Reduce unused JavaScript - As with the CSS, the builder doesn't load any js file if it is not needed
- High Performance Efficiently encode images - This error is referring to the images used.
- High Performance Serve images in next-gen formats - This error is referring to the images used
- High Accessibility Buttons do not have an accessible name - Unlike other builders, we do provide the ability to set custom HTML attributes for all elements. This error can be resolved by specifying the correct "role" and "aria-" attributes. This cannot be done by us for all the buttons as each button can have different roles.
- High Accessibility Image elements do not have `[alt]` attributes - The builder uses the built-in image functionality from WordPress. This means that as long as you set an alt tag to the image in the Media Manager, it will be printed by Zion.
Regarding the slider problem, it would help if you can let us know what demo did you install so we can correct the problem.
For any additional questions or feedback, please don't hesitate to post on our Facebook community as I am very active and can provide more details about our product and even optimization advice to websites built with Zion.
Best regards,
Stefan
