stopped working on promised feature
some buyers purchased zync because they promised the feature of being able to upload a prerecorded video into zync instead of recording inside zync
and then the app adding the cuts broll and effects to the uploaded video.
it was marked as in progress but after the refund period ended it was downgraded.
they built a feature to get your friends and clients emails and get them as customers instead
so went back on their promised feature which was reason I purchased.
other features work okay but bad taste from retracting promised feature.( can not trust)

Mar 12, 2025We built the uploading video feature and realized it has its own set of problems. Our entire system is tuned towards talking head videos and building authentic talking head content. The minute we let people upload videos there's going to be all types of videos that will be uploaded and there would be complaints about it not working well for those cases. So we made a business decision to not go to upload videos until we figure out how we handle non-talking-head videos.
Sorry this didn't meet your expectation but the last thing you want is a product trying to do everything and doing it poorly. We will strive to be the best studio + video editor for talking head video.
