It's been a while since our last update here, and a lot has happened. Hedy has gone through a full generation change since this deal first ran, so whether you're a returning user or discovering Hedy for the first time, here's what you're getting in 2026.

Automatic Suggestions

Hedy now proactively coaches you during conversations without you having to ask for help. It watches the conversation flow, spots opportunities you might miss, and suggests the right question or insight at the right moment. Pro users get 120 minutes of automatic suggestions per session. It's the closest thing to having a brilliant colleague whispering in your ear during a meeting.

Topics: Cross-Session Intelligence

You can now group related sessions together and chat across all of them at once. Ask "what did we promise the client last month?" and Hedy pulls the answer from the right meeting. Topics also generate automatic prep notes before each session, so you walk into every meeting knowing exactly what needs follow-up.

Hedy Runs Everywhere Now

When this deal first launched, Hedy was mobile-only. Since then we've shipped:

• Native macOS app with system audio capture for virtual meetings
• Windows app (currently in beta)
• Read-only web app for reviewing sessions, managing topics, and chatting with past conversations
• Apple Watch companion app for discreet session control and at-a-glance coaching tips

Your lifetime Pro license works across all of them.

EU Data Residency

New users can now choose to store their conversation data on EU servers during signup. If you're in Europe and data sovereignty matters to you or your clients, this is a meaningful upgrade.

Compliance Progress

We've published full GDPR compliance documentation through our Trust Center at trust.hedy.ai, including a Data Processing Addendum, Transfer Impact Assessment, and Technical and Organizational Measures. SOC 2 Type II and HIPAA certifications are in progress and expected in the coming months.

More Session Types

We've added Coaching & Mentoring, Job Interview (Candidate), Negotiation, and Spiritual Teaching to the lineup, bringing the total to 11 specialized modes.

We've been shipping weekly updates for the past year and that pace isn't slowing down. Calendar integration, a complete UI redesign (Hedy 3.0), and expanded wearable support are all on the roadmap.

🎧 Background Processing (Beta)

One of your most-requested features is here! You can now turn off your screen while Hedy listens to your conversations. Keep in mind that we're still fine-tuning this feature with device battery management, so for now we recommend keeping Hedy open with the screen turned on for your most critical conversations. If you encounter issues with Hedy running in the background, please send us a note ([email protected]) with what you experienced.

🌍 2 New Languages for Sessions

We've expanded our session language support to include Norwegian and Ukrainian, bringing our total to 19 supported session languages!

🌍 12 Additional Languages for Hedy Chat

Building on our existing language capabilities, we're excited to add 12 new languages for Hedy chat interactions. While Hedy continues to provide powerful real-time conversation analysis in 19 languages, you can now engage with Hedy in these additional languages:

• Danish (Dansk)
• Norwegian (Norsk)
• Finnish (Suomi)
• Romanian (Română)

This means that even during conversations in other supported languages, you can now ask Hedy questions, receive summaries, and get insights in these new languages. Whether you're seeking clarification, wanting a deeper understanding, or looking for personalized insights, Hedy is now even more accessible to our global community.

• Choose your conversation language right when you start a session
• Your session context now influences both summaries and detailed notes, making them even more personalized
• New dialog while your completed session is being finalized
• Share everything at once! Use the new "Share All Data" option in the new session menu (triple dot button) to share your session's summary, detailed notes, highlights, and Hedy chat in one go

Our team is back from Thanksgiving break and immediately started working on implementing all the awesome feedback you all have been submitting since we launched this deal two weeks ago.

We're excited to share that you can now provide session context to help Hedy better understand your role and objectives. Add details about who you are, your goals, and any other relevant information that will help Hedy provide more tailored insights during your conversations. Hedy will use this context to customize its suggestions and analyses, making them even more relevant to your specific situation.

Plus, we've expanded our language support to include Bahasa Indonesia, Bahasa Malay, and Russian, bringing our total to 17 supported languages!

A note on language support: We've received many requests for additional languages, and we want to be transparent about Hedy's capabilities. Since Hedy processes speech recognition directly on your device to protect your privacy, we're currently at the limit of what mobile devices can handle while maintaining our quality standards. We've thoroughly tested most major languages and have now implemented support for the languages that perform well with our current on-device processing model. While we hope to add more languages in the future as mobile processing power advances, this will likely take some time.
