You will have lifetime access to UPDF. However, if the software is entirely redesigned or upgraded, then it might need to upgrade. Customers are the persons who decide to upgrade or not. If they don't want to upgrade, they still have premium access to the current version of UPDF. :)

How is this a LTD if once they change the software it no longer works with your operating system. or say if Windows has a major update & it requires a core change in the software, then that basically means you may need to use a version of Windows that is older or unpatched to use the software. catch 22.

It is a play on words. Their interpretation of Lifetime is you download the current version of the software and you have it for life. However, this is a Perpetual license. So, when a new major version is eventually released, (e.g., version 3) you will then have to pay for that new major version.
