Vershd

    Lifetime deal

The effortless Git client with a unique layout that prevents errors and creates clarity

Your software developers can destroy days of code using Git - it’s an essential source control system that’s tricky, even for senior engineers.

Vershd is the effortless Git client, with a unique layout that prevents errors and creates clarity.

Vershd gives previews before pushing, pulling, merging and more.

But if a developer makes a mistake, its unequaled rewind facility can roll back time with ease. And a preview, naturally.

It's easy to lose track of where code is stored, so Vershd has a unique branch comparison tool.

It gives clear visual insights into which historic changes are similar, missing or duplicated between the branches.

Vershd makes saving work simple by managing the index (aka staging).

Developers just select the relevant files, commit, and get back to what matters: coding. Compared to hammering out commands, Vershd is a breeze.

So are you ready to turbo-charge your developers?

    From the founders

    March 02, 2021

    Dear Sumo-lings,

It’s a great opportunity to be able to tell you all about our project. I'm Paul, the CEO & Founder of Vershd. I've been a software developer for many years, and one day I and others were talking long and loud about the road blocks we face every day as engineers. All those frustrations that hold us all back from doing the one thing that really counts: shipping code to customers.

One of the most critical problems was dealing with the command line leviathan that is Git, the version control system. It's wonderfully powerful but can erase days of coding in just a second. We wanted software to handle Git that was easy and quick to use, with features to accelerate our workflow. And so Vershd, the effortless Git GUI, was born.

    *** Who is Vershd For?

Vershd is aimed at software developers who are tired of struggling with Git. Which is the vast majority of engineers. It works on Windows, Linux and macOS, and is exactly the same version on each. When one is upgraded, all are upgraded.

*** What’s So Special About Vershd?

We pride ourselves on being responsive to our customers feedback, and it has steered quite a bit of what we do. However, we've also introduced unique ideas to help software developers get on with coding more quickly.

Vershd has a unique branch comparison tool which gives immediate visual insights into which commits are similar between the branches. In the maze of branches that a repository can have, this clears a path to tell you which commits have been cherry picked or merged from another branch. It also shows you which commits from one branch are missing from another. This graphic view creates crystal clear picture of the state the team’s work in the repository.

Vershd also has a unique rewind function, a simpler and more powerful way of reverting or resetting commits. Rolling back in time to clean up branches or fix mistakes can be tricky. Rewind helps to prevent errors using previews and the offers the ability to keep your working files. It can save the reversed changes for you there and then. Simplicity is key, and your time is saved.

    *** FAQs

    * How Many Codes Do I Need?

One for each user of Vershd. The lifetime license is valid on up to 3 machines per user, whether they are Windows, macOS or Linux. If you have 12 users, you need 12 codes. You can of course take a licence from one user and give it to another, if an team member leaves for example. The power to manage the licences is in your hands, both within the application’s Licence form, and via our website.
