We are ditching Basecamp. I'm not here to recap and argue about Basecamp's implosion. What I'm saying is that there aren't many brands with Basecamp's proven record for project management.
ActiveCollab is one such brand. Your brand and longevity have real value that you can charge a premium for, even here on App Sumo. I would gladly pay 2x, 3x maybe more for an ActiveCollab Pro LTD.
For example, Flowlu has "all the things" available through AppSumo for $294. Charge me $499 (or whatever) to get AC with all the things. FYI, I don't really care about unlimited. I just care about being able to add seats if I need them later. We are happy to give you more money later.
The point is, Basecamp's implosion is your opportunity right now. I should have come here and given you money, but instead I find a sort of "half-in" type of deal. And please don't respond that AC Plus has all of Basecamp's features. Feature parity isn't the issue. The cost of switching platforms is the issue. If we switch platforms, it's a big resource investment, so we are going to overhaul & consolidate time-tracking, workflow management, and invoicing at the same time. We aren't looking for feature parity, we are looking to move to a comprehensive solution. I suspect other people looking to switch from Basecamp will be doing the same.

Team is still exploring ways to offer more on top of this deal. Itās not just about figuring out what makes sense as an offer, but also finding a way to make the offer work technically. What weāre experimenting with is a way to keep what you got with the deal, with an option to activate additional functionality. I second Leslie as AC Pro will make sense and add value based on what we are experiencing in PM ecosystem about the lack of consolidated features like all PM advanced and payment features based on smart time tracking in a modern-evolutive UI. This why I am not convinced to buy your AS AC Pro deal that is clearly not relevant, to be honest. If not, I'd rather use AC Pro on a month-to-month basis based on downgrade-upgrade pace: can you imagine the picture? Thanks for considering seriously.

I purchased the T3 with the perhaps optimistic view that you'll work out a way to let us upgrade and/or subscribe to the Pro Bundle features. To be transparent, I will happily pay a per user fee for the pro bundle options, just like a normal pro account. I don't need LTD (though that would be amazing). I just need a complete solution for myself and the firms I work with.
That Paid Bundle that is $3/user is essential for our use case.
If it doesn't work out, no hard feelings! I understand how complicated things can get behind the scenes and the need to run a sustainable business. Here's hoping though :)

Team found a way how to enable our recurring add-ons system (that can add bundles to accounts) for lifetime accounts. We're looking at an offer based on two principles:
1. Keep your LTD without the need to switch to a different plan or pricing model,
2. Activate add-ons to unlock extra features and seats (monthly fee).
Specifics depend on several things. Some are technical, some are business related, and some are community related. We'll navigate through all of them in the following week or so, and then we'll be able to provide a concrete offer. Until then I just wanted to share the principles that we have in mind. Hopefully they combine best of LTD, with flexibility for growth that you may need in the future.
PS: Were you involved with ExpressionEngine project some time around 2007, 2008?
