I'm not going to tear down your product. I respect that you're defending it, but that response comes across as petty and isn't what I would expect from a founder. Whether it's warranted or not, you're taking hits and letting emotions drive your replies.

My recommendation, if you care about your brand voice, is to have someone else handle some of these responses. From my experience observing people, you, engaging with those who feel they've not been well treated in this situation, doesn't showcase you or your product in the best possible way. And I say this as a T6 user.

As an LTD holder we are obviously buying into both the current state of the product and also the future potential and promises of the developers. In this case, the market went in a direction (MCP servers, agents, etc) and Activepieces followed - and then crippled their LTD plans. While it still works - sure, it's no longer competitive with Make.com / N8N / etc - for which it was sold as a viable competitor unless you spend more money to upgrade to a paid plan.

I have a T3 account - which I bought as it's a team account (I didn't get it for the increased tasks, I got it for the 5 users), but they are treating it like an individual account and saying "be happy that you are getting more than when you first bought it" (I'm paraphrasing) - but the attitude from the developers has made it clear to me and I'm sure many others - I will never give a penny more to them since they have broken all trust with their users and don't seem to care.

I did some tests when I bought the LTD initially but it didn't have many features then. I did not refund it because of the promise that new features will added and the LTD deal will me mapped to their plus/pro plan. Now I see "upgrade now" everywhere in the app. Except more tasks/month, the LTD pan is almost the same as their free plan now, nowhere near to their plus plan in terms of features.
These Appsumo LTDs are somewhat like investing in micro-cap stocks. Some will turn out to be gems. But sadly, ActivePieces is not one of them. ActivePieces have grown, but my investment in it did not. Since LTD is not mapped to any plan now, its value will keep on reducing every day until it becomes worthless.

II’ve been through my fair share of LTDs that fizzled out. Activepieces doesn’t feel like that. The recent changes aren’t a downgrade—they’re a step forward.

If you’re unhappy with your tools, I’ll gladly take them off your hands. But here’s my honest take: Activepieces is a gem if you stick with it and actually explore what it can do. Right now, it’s a real contender to n8n—only it’s simpler to set up and, importantly, you’re not boxed in by n8n’s commercial licensing. If you haven’t checked those costs, do it. It’s eye-opening.

For those who grabbed Tier 3 or Tier 4, you can spin up your own automation server for a fraction of what a commercial n8n setup would cost. And with the latest updates—MCP servers, agents, flows—you’re getting serious capability baked in. Those are not trivial features. Try replicating that stack in n8n and you’ll hit friction fast, and you still won’t be able to monetize without paying license fees.

I get it—many of us are wary because some LTDs broke trust. But what I’m seeing here is the opposite: the team is expanding what we can do, not shrinking it. To me, that signals they’re investing in the product and in us.

So let’s not dogpile the devs. Give the changes a fair shake. The potential is still huge, and the direction looks right. I’m saying this plainly: these updates are a net positive. Let’s build with it and see how far we can take it.

Activepieces is an excellent automation platform—simple to navigate, quick to implement, and incredibly useful for streamlining tasks in my business. Compared to other tools in the space, i feel like it offers a cleaner experience with just the right balance of power and usability. I like that i can stay high level if i want, but also can get granular when needed.

Outside of that, it’s interesting to see people upset about the plan changes when nothing actually changed for us Sumolings—our limits stayed the same. I had a conversation with the team and others in their Discord, and while we didn’t win the lotto with limits on new features, we got a solid amount appropriate to our tier. What I do know is that Activepieces has a founder who’s genuinely engaged and actively helping people implement this into their business. Personally, I’ve already made my money back tenfold—so if that’s the value I’m seeing, I have to wonder if others are even using it or just missing the potential entirely.
