Q: Can I send email in Japanese language ?
(Chinese characters ).
I use Moosend now which is..mot so user friendly to send emails.
However I can change to Japanese the bottom link which says unsubscribe if you don't want my emails :). Is your platform flexible and can be changed. Japanese are like many in Spain speaks no english. Thanks.

May 15, 2024A: Hi!
Yes, you can copy-paste that you need or directly write on the email builder to send out in Japanese, anything with a UTF8 code works out fine on our builder. I've just done a test to check and it looks fine, so you can make use of it without any issue.
Cheers,
Marina
Thanks
I play with a free account at the moment to get a feeling about it.
Spanish only is frustrating, but English can be found somewhere at the bottom to switch.
I like UI better than Moosend and much easier to use after all.
I'm in Japan with fast internet 358Mbps/350Mbps, sometimes more or a bit less, but your website behaves like a turtle. Do you use CDN or something to speed uploading?
You tested non-English characters and I'm thankful for this. However, I checked with the "New List" creation. In list language, you have a few basic choices which are obvious. However, my list names are all in Japanese. What would you advise?
I don't mind choosing English if this choice won't mess with the characters and make them something like ?>:"_+) You know what I mean.
Also, when sending emails in Japan last name is the most important and must always come first. Can email be sent with the prefix [lastname] ?
Please reply soon as I am about to click Pay Button. Thank you
Hi!
We're always working on improving our page loading speed, but it's normal taking into account time zones and English UI that it might take up more to load, sorry for the inconvenience. We're aware of this and working on it.
All our UI works with characters with UTF8, so there shouldn't be a problem to put in Japanese the name of the list, but in any case, yes, you can try out with English as well. As for custom fields including first the last name, you can create a list with the last name tag and include it first on your email, so it would look like this: "Hi *|LASTNAME|* *|FIRSTNAME|* Here you have more info on how to do it: https://en.soporte.acumbamail.com/article/86-utilizar-tags-en-las-plantillas-de-email
Hope this was helpful. Let me know if I can help with anything else!

Thank you, Marina,
In order to add someone, I had to manually add fields such as last name and name, because there was only email. This was surprising to me. Anyway, it worked fine with Japanese characters. However, I have excel to import people, but I'm afraid I will have to do it manually. I am concerned that ACM won't catch the names properly because it won't distinguish the last name from the first name.
Another thing.
I added myself to the list and then did the search for the name. However, it cannot be found. When I searched my email, then it showed up. You should fix this.
Also, in Moosend all names are nicely put in order (last name, name, and email. This way the names are visible immediately. Here email has priority above names. The list looks like email - last name-name (whatever is first added to the field). I would like to see names first and then emails. I would also like to be able to search by name.
Also, I was able to change into Japanese unsubscribe text :)
I keep testing upon purchase yesterday. It is a nice and simple UI.
By the way, I couldn't find anywhere how to turn off the Acumbamail badge in emails.
Hi,
You can add someone directly exporting an Excel spreasheet that has those custom fields, and then Acumbamail recognises them, so you can choose whether to add or discard those columns. The importing system recognises the fields that you include on your spreadsheet in the first place. In order to recognize last name and first name, you need to create different columns on Excel, but all ESPs work like that, I would add!
As for list searching, yes, you can look up for a subscriber by entering their full email on the main list menu (where you see all of your lists), or a part of their email inside of a given list. I pass on your input on this, thank you!
Yes, the email field does show up first on the list, this I believe cannot be changed, but we take into account your suggestion!
And lastly, you can delete the Acumbamail badge from the emails by double-clicking on it and yes deleting the content block and selecting the icon.
Thank you for your input and we're glad you're happy with the UI :)
Cheers,
Marina
Thank you Maria.
Searching is important because most of the Japanese use very complicated emails to avoid spam. For example yoshi+=itr678-hjs_@domain.com
This is the real way they input. Can you remember the name and search in this case? I doubt. Please consider searching by name with other characters than English.
Thanks
Hi!
This has been noted down, and we'll work on it to release it soon, thank you for your patience!
