We actually use our own SMTP system.

Sending emails through Acumbamail's SMTP relay allows you to get advanced analytics and a lot of information about how your transactional emails are working.

You can send out emails with a free Gmail account, however, we recommend sending your emails with a domain of your own as the recipient.
By the way, we have our own sending domains, so you do not need external parties for that.
