Q: Hi Guys, You don't seem to directly integrate with Google Ads.
The user has to copy and paste the campaign into Google Ads Editor software to get it running; do you have any plans to integrate directly with Google Ads?
Thanks
Hi there,
That's correct. We integrate directly into GAE and MSE. This is deliberate as it's already a part of the workflows for many, if not most, PPC pros.
It allows you to connect to unlimited accounts without us seeing them or having to connect your MCC to us at all.
We have been working on a direct API upload (you can sign up for the beta); however, as the request frequency vs the effort and overhead (which prevents us from building more impactful features), hasn't been super high, we're just working on it slowly.
I'd say we will eventually build it out for the users who want it, but it likely won't be for another 3-6 months realistically.
All the best.
Jay
I appreciate the transparency on that, as an existing user. I initially hated having to work through three interfaces (some things are easier in the G-Ads Web UI, some are easier in the offline editor, plus SpeedPPC), but I'm used to it now. Nonetheless, a direct upload would be greatly welcome - it'll minimize user errors.
I wrote this in another thread, which I'll share here as well. :)
We use SpeedPPC every day for building real campaigns, so I'm super in touch with optimizing the workflow. I have direct upload working on my account, but I don't use it. There are a number of reasons why in my opinion, it's better to use the editor as part of the direct upload.
1) It verifies everything for you before you go and put it in your account. SpeedPPC can generate a crazy number of keywords, but not all accounts can handle it. So you don't want to be pumping massive campaigns into your account that it can't handle. The biggest thing for me is being able to have Google directly verify this stuff before it's in my account and before I do an upload which can take time. For example, it will show if any of the ads text that has been automatically generated is too long and then you can easily do a bulk adjustment. You can't (and never will be able to) do that via the API without first uploading the whole campaign and then trying to wrangle mistakes within a web interface. The Excel-style interface of GAE is just so much faster and easier.
2) With using GAE, you can have unlimited accounts and don't have to log in and log out and again, verify that the account is correct before you upload.
3) It's a faster upload than the API that verifies along the way and you can quickly see what worked and what didn't.
4) It's private. You don't have to connect your client's account to a 3rd party system. In many businesses, you need legal approval to do this. With SpeedPPC, you don't.
Thanks for the info, this makes allot of sense. I've been playing with SpeedPPC and I understand your points with regards to the the Google Ads Editor software. As a new user I was just expecting to be able to sync SpeedPPC with Google Ads but I'm getting used to the process.
That's great to hear! Thanks for the update.
