321ActionQ: Can Products be sold in addition to Services
Your use cases are great but I need some better understanding. I am a photographer. In addition to selling services, I also sell products - such as photo packages. Is it possible to create products or product packages, that can be in the catalog, and purchased through an online order form? After a purchase, the client would be added to the system and the unique product would be on a private page or area of their portal only, for review and download? A similar use case is selling a lesson plan with embedded video content. The purchased content / items need to be available in a clients portal section as a page of content, and not as a link in the side bar for all clients to see.

You can certainly achieve this. You will still have to create a service for this (that can serve as product). You clients can then purchase through checkout page, catalog page or you can create a order form and include the service in service radio list or checklist.
Once purchase, a request will be created that will be available for client as well as for you. This will serve as the source of truth. You can share any content with client through this request.
You can also use a differently terminology for requests if you want. You can configure that in workspace settings > modules > requests > terminology.
