As you can see, many people are bothered/annoyed by the Freepik's requirement to charge our credit card when we redeem the code, even though the amount is returned soon after. This weird requirement is not specifically written in anywhere of the sales page nor the FAQ. It's only been found out by buyers and exposed it in the Reviews.
Since we can't refund the code (unless AppSumo allows it due to this transparency issue), I hope Freepik can at least remove this weird requirement of charging our credit card when we redeem the code.

Sep 25, 2025A: Hey there, what looks like a charge from Freepik is actually just a temporary verification hold. It clears automatically without any money being taken, but completely understand how confusing and frustrating that can feel. To avoid any surprises, we’ve updated the bundle page so it’s spelled out clearly at the top under 'Annual Bundle Details'. You’ll see it states that all tools in the bundle require a credit card for redemption, that temporary card holds may appear but drop off quickly, and how renewals and cancellations work for each tool.
So your first year of access is fully covered by your AppSumo purchase, and you won’t be billed again unless you choose to continue after the 12 months (we recommend setting a reminder near the end of your first year if you don’t plan to renew Freepik and you’ll also receive an email reminder 3 days before renewal).
