Six weeks ago you would've found me explaining, again, why the "search everywhere" button on our product page didn't actually search everywhere. It searched ChatGPT. Claude was its own separate world, bolted on with the same license key and nothing else in common. Same for Gemini. Three toolboxes wearing one product name.
That bugged me more than any support ticket ever could. So over the last five weeks, 13 releases (5.0.13 to 5.0.26), we tore out the wall between them and rebuilt AI Toolbox as one library that happens to work across every platform, instead of three products that happen to share a login.
Here's what that actually means for you:
One search box for everything. Type a query once and get results from ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini together, each one deep-linked straight back to the original chat. No more trying to remember which platform a conversation happened on.
A keyboard shortcut that doesn't care what tab you're on. One browser-level combo pulls up all-platform search from anywhere, even with no AI site open. Three more shortcuts open search, prompts, and folders once you're on an AI site, and all four are rebindable to whatever your fingers already know.
One folder tree. A project that spans ChatGPT and Claude used to mean two folders in two places. Now it's one.
Tags that sync themselves. Build a tag rule in Claude and it's already live in ChatGPT. You never touch it twice.
Prompts and prompt chains that follow you. Your library isn't stuck on whichever platform you happened to build it on anymore.
Context handoff. Probably my favorite one. You can carry a conversation's context into a brand-new chat, including into a different platform entirely. Start in ChatGPT, finish the thought in Claude.
That's the headline. It wasn't the only thing we shipped, though:
Deep Import recovers chats that ChatGPT's own API quietly hides once your account gets large enough, so years of history become searchable again. As far as I know, nobody else has solved this one. Grok is now a full module, working inside X and on grok.com as part of the same library. Advanced search (boolean AND/OR, titles-only mode, exact match, date and role filters) used to be a ChatGPT-only trick. It's everywhere now. Smart Tags got rebuilt from scratch for precision and every language, across every platform. We added streaks and badges, because a little momentum tracking doesn't hurt. And Claude's Artifact Vault now grabs the files Claude actually creates too, not just artifacts: .docx, .xlsx, .pptx.
Then there's the stuff that's easy to forget is even in there. Download any response as an MP3 in nine voices, or batch-export a whole conversation as a ZIP. A live rate-limit widget so you can see how close you are to your cap before you actually hit it. Command Palette (Cmd+K) and a floating toolbox you can rearrange, so every feature is two keystrokes away. A context window meter on every platform. A media gallery that pulls every image out of your chats into one place with bulk download. Collapsible messages, live writing analytics, completion sound alerts, GPT favorites, full backup export and import, and multi-account safety.
If you bought AI Toolbox in the first few weeks it was live, there's a good chance you've never seen half of this. That's on us for shipping fast without always telling you it happened. Open it up and poke around. If something's missing, tell me. Most of what's above started as someone's email to me.
Thanks for sticking with a small tool while we figured out what it actually wanted to be.
