I didn't set out to build a company. I set out to find one old ChatGPT conversation.
It was late, and I needed a pricing breakdown I'd worked out in a chat a few weeks earlier. Simple, right? Except there was no search. No folders. Just an endless wall of "New chat, New chat, New chat" down the sidebar. I scrolled for a solid twenty minutes, couldn't find it, and ended up retyping the whole thing from memory. Worse version, too.
That night I opened my code editor and built the first rough version of what you're looking at now. It did one thing: let me search inside my own chats. That was it.
I assumed maybe a handful of other people had the same annoyance. They did. A lot of them. The thing spread mostly by word of mouth, and people kept emailing me the same sentence: "How did ChatGPT not build this already?"
So I kept going. Folders and subfolders, so your work chats stop drowning in your dinner-recipe chats. A real prompt library, because I was tired of keeping my best prompts in a messy notes file. One-click export to PDF, Markdown, and plain text, since people wanted their conversations out of the browser and into their own systems. Pinning, bookmarking, voice downloads, usage stats. Every feature came from an actual message someone sent me, not a roadmap meeting.
Somewhere along the way ChatGPT stopped being the only place people lived. So we brought the core tools to Claude and Gemini as well, and rebranded from "ChatGPT Toolbox" to simply AI Toolbox. Same obsession, more places to use it.
Here's the honest pitch. If you spend real hours inside AI chat tools every week, the time you lose to scrolling, re-prompting, and copy-pasting adds up fast. AI Toolbox hands those hours back. The reason I wanted to be on AppSumo is that a monthly subscription is a weird ask for a tool you'll quietly use every single day for years. A one-time price fits that a lot better, and it lets me put the product in front of the exact people who'll get the most out of it: founders, writers, researchers, marketers, anyone whose browser tabs are 80 percent AI.
Install it, throw your messiest week of chats at it, and tell me what's missing. I read every message, and the next feature is probably already sitting in my inbox from someone like you.
Thanks for giving a small tool a look.
