Airmeet's Revoked Lifetime Deal

Shocked and saddened like everyone else and looking to move to another provider.

However can anyone confirm that they have implemented these charges and the removal of our free 1000 participants and lifetime benefits? Or on what date is it coming into place as I was wondering if the backlash and bad publicity would encourage them to change their mind and honour their legal agreement with those who supported them. - Thank you in advance

Another scam LTD deal

It is frustrating to see companies that take our money with these false promises. Our money is used to get them off the ground, and then they don't honor the terms.

LTD was revoked! Price increase of 400% and without the 1000 free visitors! I bought 3 plans so I feel scammed.

UPDATE: Airmeet has decided to revoke their LIFETIME deal, charging us now $4 per attendee, per event - a 400% price increase. This has been a devastating blow for my small nonprofit, while Airmeet got backed with 50 million dollars, after we all backed them here on Appsumo.... At least refund your lifetime deal, because I seriously feel scammed. If I had known this wasn't a lifetime deal, I would have made different choices upfront. My trust in both Airmeet and Appsumo's offering of lifetime deals is sunk very low by this experience, and the excuses Appsumo made/makes for Airmeet are outright offensive. I bought a lifetime deal, I wasn't given a lifetime deal - not even close.

Wow! Bought 3 codes and overall I am very happy with this platform. I thought of a thousand and one possibilities that I can use this platform for and I wish I could buy more than a 1000 registrations per month, as it comes down to 33 a day or a little under 250 per weekly event. With a dollar per person, it's doable tho but for my particular nonprofit I give away a lot of scholarships. Hence would have liked more flexibility or more codes.

Once this is streamlined and the app + other browsers work, this is going to be epic. It works but I'm afraid if I use it with my community at the moment, I exclude people who do not have PC/laptop access. It's okay tho, the roadmap clearly states app will be released in Q1 of 2021.

I did experience a few times that the connection got lost in the table section and then I would prefer it if it would reserve that chair for the same person to come back to. But I guess it's hard to know when someone leaves or when someone loses connection. It seemed the connection on stage was (much) better. Hope the connection is (more) stable in the app / possibly requires less bandwidth.

My hopes for the Airmeet future:
I really hope one day signed in members can block each other if they want to. I want the option to turn of the location field asap in the sign up, we have no need for this and it scares some of our community members, even tho a false answer can be given. I hope the poll options become much, much more elaborate then yes and no answers. Also hope for white board function and a function to upload PDF or other files that visitors can download. Giveaways, fundraisers options. Games to play at the tables and on stage. Hope one day we can just make and remove tables in the same event, as I'm not a fan of seeing the empty tables. Live captions are really a must in 2021 imho, hope for a integration with rev.com - like they have for zoom. Hope one day people can be in the tables, but see the stage at the same time too.

My concerns and downsides:
I am very concerned about the comment by the airmeet team here, saying there will be a time limit on event lengths in the future and I sincerely hope this is going to be 30 days, since the 1000 a month is also per 30 days. Even then, I gotta recreate my event and all tables each 30 days. So I hope an event template option that we can create ourselves will be added first. Because that seems like a lot of unnecessary work. The images for sponsors and the table images are too small imho.

LTD REVOKED.

Airmeet is a great tool. Unfortunately, the company isn't trustworthy.

Airmeet is suddenly rescinding their LTD offer, even for those who stacked all the codes, like me. I use Airmeet every single week in my business. Suddenly, the rug is pulled out from underneath me.

Airmeet's Broken Promise: Lifetime Deal Revoked Without Any Compensation

I'm writing this review with deep frustration and a sense of betrayal. When I purchased a "lifetime deal" for Airmeet through AppSumo, I was promised 1,000 free registrations per month, with a fee of $1 for any participant over that amount. This deal was a significant investment, and I trusted Airmeet to honor these terms. However, they've now revoked the lifetime deal completely and introduced a pay-per-attendee model with a fee of $4 per attendee—without offering any free participants at all.

This drastic change is not only disappointing but also feels incredibly unfair. The original terms were clear, and now, without any clear explanation, they're asking us to pay significantly more than initially agreed upon. Going from $1 per extra participant to $4 is a huge leap, and I can't understand how Airmeet justifies this increase. It's a far cry from the 1,000 free participants per month we were promised.

As someone who recently became an AppSumo Plus member, I had hoped this might offer some level of consideration or priority in resolving issues like this. Unfortunately, it seems to have made no difference. While I still value AppSumo as a marketplace, this experience with Airmeet has been a sobering reminder that even "lifetime deals" can be abruptly altered or revoked.

At this point, the only fair resolution would be for Airmeet to offer a full refund to all early backers. If that isn't possible, the least they could do is provide at least 100 free participants per month to honor some part of the original agreement. Anything less would be a further breach of trust.

I urge Airmeet to reconsider their approach and do right by their early supporters. For anyone else considering their platform, be cautious: what you're promised may not be what you end up getting.
