Good features with limitations

Airwork is a great concept and we had high hopes that it could offer an HR and onboarding solution for our small business. We experienced a few challenges that would prevent us from using this tool today.

1. Limited currencies - we are based in Ghana, and there is no currency available for us to advertise our job openings showing the salary in local currency. I'm not sure why this needs to be so limited as it is the company paying the employees, not Airwork, where it shouldn't have to matter so much how many countries you've rolled out in. There is no way to hide the salary section so something needs to go there. We were told that we can put Negotiable, however our ranges are not negotiable at all. Expanded support is needed in this area.

2. Hoops and Hurdles for Applicants - I decided to give this system a test as a potential job applicant. I was surprised and disappointed at what I discovered. I clocked on the botton to Apply for our advertised role, where I was prompted to register for an account - first hurdle. I registered for the account, and to my dismay, from there I was then pushed into a series of questions that I was made to answer, almost as if Airwork was more focused on onboarding this applicant into their own database as a job seeker, instead of putting the focus on our Role which they are seeking to apply to. I needed to complete a full profile, share my work interests, skill sets, etc. Mind you, we hadn't even made it to our actual job application for our position being advertised. After passing through at least 2-3 additional screens of intake data (not the job application), I exited. This process is not conducive to having your applicants apply to your jobs In a straightforward way. Most would drop off before completing the process due to the numerous hoops that Airwork forces them through in order to build their own jobseeker database to later market other roles to them in the future, vs allowing the applicant, who found their way to Airwork through our own job opportunity, to stay focused on applying for the job at hand. If Airwork wants to then complete a job seeker profile on our applicants that should be done as a separate offer after allowing them to apply for our job.

3. Limitations on posting jobs - I was disappointed to learn that only 5 jobs can be posted , whereas after this has been exhausted, you will now need to pay per every job listed in excess of 5. When they said "5 pro jobs" I interpreted that as in we could post 5 of these PRO JOBS, and either this number would always be available at any time, after deactivating or closing another job, or that we would be able to post non-pro jobs (standard positions) in excess of the 5 pro jobs advertised. None of this is the case. Consider this accordingly. For us, it is unlikely that we would be able to proceed with Airwork as our primary job board due to these limitations.

4. No job board page - it is advertised that we will have a job page, where we can advertise all of the company's open roles at any given time, but this is not currently an available feature. Again, this limits us from being able to use Airwork as our HR platform, as we would want to link our Job Board to our website, where jobseekers can view our active roles and apply as desired. We can only direct to each individual active job position which is not feasible for company's with multiple opportunities in their organization. This is a very basic offering which I suggest Airwork work to make available urgently.

Hi there!

Thank you for testing this as thoroughly as you did, including running through the full applicant flow yourself. This is some of the most useful feedback we've had since launch, and most of it is going straight into our next sprint. Let me go point by point.

1. Currency and salary display. You're right that the options are too limited today. Not being able to show your local currency,...

Customer support, one of the strong foundations, is awesome.

I wanted to use this product to hire someone offshore, but never got a chance, since I found my hire from a reference. However, I had one tiny issue creating my account due to a small glitch, but the team got back to me within 24 hours and solved it. Not only that, they made sure I don't face any other issues, by keeping in touch with me, and ensuring every other process of onboarding goes smooth.

This tells me how strong the customer support team is. To me, the customer service is one of the strongest foundations of any company ever existed. Great job guys!

Thank YOU so much for the review!

Glad the team got you sorted, even with that account glitch. A bug on signup is the worst first impression, so I'm relieved we caught it fast and stayed with you through the rest of onboarding. We're a small team, which means when something breaks you get a person, not a ticket queue.

Thanks again for taking the time to write this.
