Best Writing Software so far but Expensive and a little glitchy
So this is the best writing software I have seen so far. Its an all in one package. Has everything you need from trending topics to chapter and cover generation. You also get to choose your models. I haven't explored everything but it has almost everything I would want. Honeslty I am contemplating upgrading to Tier 4 if I can get appsumo to give me the right pricing since the price has gone up since I bought it
The only issue is it is expensive. Every task requires credits and you can run out fast. I have Tier 3 and was able to publish two books with them all using claude as a model. It charges per chapter and not words which is weird since they won't amount to the same thing. Like a chapter can be big or small. At Tier 3 I would expect to generate at least 10ish books
Yes the BYOK is there but then I need to pay Open router or whatever, which I don't want to. If they could give me direct key plugins for the 3 agents they support I can bring down the cost till I don't hit their limits
A few glitches I found were for each book even though I generated all the chapters the final books somehow has a chapter missing. I had to go back and regenerate which wasted credits.
The keyword generator seemed a miss.I tried a few times and the keyword generated were not great. Finally my biggest complaint is that the charger credits for upload. It is first and foremost an editor. If I have a outline/ layout or even a rough manuscript charging me credits to upload defeats the purpose. That is one thing the developer should definitely fix.

Thank you for publishing two books with us and for writing down exactly where it hurt. Taking your points in order.
Pricing per chapter. You are right, a chapter costs the same whether it is short or long: 15 credits on Gemini, 20 on Grok, 30 on Claude. Chapter length is set per chapter in the outline, so longer chapters get you more words per credit. For scale, a 35-chapter book on Claude is about 1,050 credits for the chapters plus about 135 for the outline and cover. Two books like that use roughly one month of Tier 3's 2,500. Your credits refill every month, so Tier 3 is about two Claude books a month, or about four on Gemini.
BYOK. Correct, since August BYOK takes one OpenRouter key instead of separate Google, Anthropic and xAI keys, and that is one more account to pay. It covers writing, outlines and covers at 1 credit per action. I should be straight about one gap: in visual books the steps that draw from reference images still run on our keys at full price even with your key connected. That is our bug and it is being fixed. Missing chapter. I can tell you exactly what happened, because it is our fault. A chapter row is created when generation starts, so if the generation then fails, the chapter stays empty while the book still shows the full list. Export quietly leaves out any chapter with no text, so the file comes out short with no warning anywhere. You paid to regenerate something that failed silently, and that is on us. Making that failure visible instead of silent is now on our list.
Keyword research. Fair. Right now it always runs against the US Amazon store with no market or language choice, and I would rather hear which keywords were off than defend it. A line in the support chat with your topic helps.
Import. This is the part worth a second look, because we rebuilt manuscript import from scratch on 13 September, after you had already tried the old one. It now reads the Word file itself rather than a text dump, so headings, front and back matter, tables, notes and images survive. Upload, the AI structure detection and the review screen are free: you rename, reorder, split, combine and undo until the chapter list is right, and you see the exact quote before a single credit moves. Chapter text is now 5 credits per chapter, down from 10, or 13 if you wanted formatting and images kept, which are included now at no surcharge. Outlines are 3 per chapter, notes and characters are free, and on Tier 3 your own OpenRouter key brings import to 1 credit per chapter. A failed import charges nothing. If an import still comes out wrong, Start over deletes it and re-importing that same book is free, as many times as you need. Credits from the earlier attempt are not returned and Start over does delete the imported chapters, so it is a clean retry rather than an undo. I would rather you knew that up front than found out afterwards. Cutting wasted credits is what most of this work was about, and we are still going.
