Q: exclude small images?
Mots of the time I work with online stores from customers, and these online stores have countless images that do not need to be optimized because they are not important, such as menu bars, logos from payment providers, shopping bag, search icon, etc. - in summary, I currently have a customer online store with about 110 product pages but 40k images, no joke! In this case, there are 7-8 images to optimize for a few products, but on most pages only 1-2 images, so let's say there are about 250 images to optimize. How can I exclude all the other images if I want automatically optimization?
A: The default settings for our Shopify app is to only work on *product* images. So this may be what you are looking for? If you do want to process other images, you can do a bulk update and select non-product images as well.
I didn't ask about Shopify, did I? By the way, Shopify is not popular in Europe; most online stores here are WooCommerce, then Magento 1.9, and then Magento 2 :-) My question was more general though: currently, I have to optimize a Gambio store, and next a Magento 1.9, so how does it work with these shops, especially since there is no official plugin?
So for WooCommerce, right now you can add a custom filter function which will skip images unless they are product images: https://alttext.ai/docs/developers/wordpress/#skipping-specific-attachments (you'll need a very small amount of engineering/dev work to implement)
Our Magento2 plugin only processes product images, so you should be OK there as well.
Thanks again for the very quick response! But what about all the other sites or stores where there is no official plugin, only the legacy plugin? ...is there maybe an option like optimize images not smaller than 10kb or something similar?
What is the "legacy plugin" you are referring to? You can always use our InstantAlt script on any website -- it only processes images larger than 100x100 pixels.
Can you help me understand why alttext.ai doesn't identify any images on sites built with spreadsimple? Mcstuffins.com for instance returns no images using either the scrape function or the instantalt function (inserting code in the site header). If the problem is a lack of img files and use of javascript, what is the workaround? How can alttext.ai be used on sites/platforms like these? Another example would be sites using Teespring.com. Alttext.ai only identifies one image on their homepage, but there are several product images. If someone uses a teespring store, can Alttext.ai be used & if so how? I'm not much interested in creating elaborate hooks and triggers. Trying to understand why this would work on Shopify sites but not others. Thanks, I really want this to work for me. Seems like a great tool!
Q: Do I need WordPress to use this? Answers FOUND. Chrome Extension makes it useful & 1 credit per photo!:)
I just checked out the website. I added a photo/our logo. It did well explaining it. We do not use WordPress at all. Can I use this?
Also, I don't use that many photos right now. I'd like to have it describe the YouTube pics. What is the cost per photo?

Q: Tier Increase
Hi, I bought Tier 2 and would like to add the 3rd Tier to make it complete, how do I do that?
This question might have already been answered but there are over 300 questions and that's a lot of reading :-)
Thanks.

yes exactly that is what I meant, that InstantAlt script, 100x100 pixels is great, is there an option to change this value?
Ah ok. Right now those values are fixed, but we'll look at adding this as an option that can be configured!

Sep 19, 2025A: Hi - the mcstuffins.com site doesn't seem to have any images larger that 50x50, right? The minimum image size we require is 50x50 pixels.
