Q: How to view and edit the generated texts and other questions
I am using your wordpress plugin. I tried bulk generation for existing images. So now I see them in my account. And I can read the generated texts. But if I edit the text, it is not updated on the website media library. Moreover, instead of saving the edits, the system creates extra language (english) and stores my edits under a separate tab. So I have the edit text on the english tab, and originally generated text under website language tab. How it is supposed to work?
Could you also please explain your statement in one of your answers, that on the plugin takes into accounts of the context of the page the image is placed. Does it really do it when I made about generation from the media library? Or some other way to generate texts should be used for that?
A: Hi - the website does not auto-sync back to WordPress, but you can do the sync by first exporting your library from the website, then using the plugin Sync Library feature.
For images in the media library that are associated with Posts/Pages, we do pull keywords from those posts if you use any of the popular SEO plugins like Yoast, etc.
Currently, there is another deal for a similar tool on AppSumo: clickrank.ai. And this tool can optimize alt tags as well as do much more, such as meta tags, schema markup optimization, keyword research tools, and much more. As far as I can see, your tool can only do a small part (images only) of what clickrank can, or am I missing something?
A: Hi - we focus on creating the best, most optimized alt text you can get. We also include many "set it and forget it" automatic plugins for platforms like WordPress, Shopify, etc, so you never have to think about alt text again. While we haven't looked specifically at ClickRank, what we can tell you is that we currently offer the most comprehensive alt text solution you can find out there.
Please, does AltText understand the context of the page where it has been used, to give best keywords if not given directly and choose the best SEO opportunities?
If you use our WordPress or Shopify apps, they will pull data from your page (or product) in order to better incorporate keywords. If you use our Chrome extension, you can check the box in the extension settings to use the page meta description as a keyword source as well. Please have a look at our documentation to learn the full capabilities!

Q: None wordpress sites?
Hi
Will this work on ordinary html pages?
Is there like a Java script or something we need to add to the html page?
Dave_AltText.ai
Aug 22, 2025A: Yep! It's called our InstantAlt feature -- an easy JS script you can add to your page and get alt text added automatically.

Q: AltText Context
Hello,
Please, does AltText understand the context of the page where it has been used, to give best keywords if not given directly and choose the best SEO opportunities?
Thank you,

Q: Do you support SVG/WebP yet?
I saw you mentioned you didn't last year... my website uses SVG and WebP only
Dave_AltText.ai
Aug 15, 2025A: We've always supported WebP.
We now also support SVG and AVIF (those are 2 credits per image).

General 2 credits per Image?
No, only SVG and AVIF are 2/image. Everything else is 1/image as usual.
