My instant love for Marvin: a short(ish) story
Every few months I will research a new to-do app as the onesssss (many 's' as I have at least 8 apps on my phone) are getting purposely ignored. Once one app starts to have a lengthy list of overdue items, I start to avoid it. I had been on any major and some minors app. All are great but they always miss something. I had been thinking 'why the heck nobody does one that has all the functions I need?'. I love men. They are more practical than us women and more focused. Most of these apps seem to be made by men who are very practical and a bit engineer.
I was looking something not only effective but also pretty. And these apps always lack something that I need and want. Todoist? Calendar view. TickTick almost perfect but can't hide 'back burner' stuff and it's overwhelming. Trello? Almost perfect but I have too many cards in it, so overwhelming again.

So I have been researching (read: procrastinating) for days to find the best option for me. I stumbled upon a comment that mentioned Amazing Marvin and how she loved it as it was everything she wanted and more.
Amazing Marvin sounded familiar... ops! Of course, I got a year plan on AppSumo a few months back!

So tonight I took some time to figure it out...and OMG! How gorgeous it is!!! I have had m eyes on Things 3 for a while, but too expensive to have it on all devices for to-do list.
Turns out the Marvin has the option to make your dashboard look similar to Things 3 (or Todoist, TickTick, Omnifocus etc).
Once the free plan is expired it will cost me a similar price, but by then I should be able to see if it helps me to get things done.

Check it out... It has a bit of a learning curve, but I am in love with it!!! It is a game changer!

Yes, I took my time to write this review. Amazing Marvin is a great app, and I've been using it since its launch on Appsumo. I wouldn't mind paying the annual fee once my subscription expires, but I'd really love to see an LTD here on Appsumo.

I've spent enough money on todo apps over the years to buy a small island in the South Pacific. Name a todo app — any one — and I guarantee you I already own it. While they all do certain things well, none of them have ever checked all the boxes for me. So naturally, when I saw an obscure reference to an app called Marvin (on a Notion sub-reddit, of all places), I didn't assume it would be anything special.

Holy moly, was I ever wrong! I watched a video demo where the developer walks through Marvin... and I was so in awe of all the features that I didn't budge out of my chair for well over an hour. (Have never done that before for any app!) I spent almost 25 years running a software development company, and I can tell you that I have never — ever — seen a more finely crafted, well-thought-out piece of software in my life. The brilliant modularity of Marvin provides a peek into the mind of the developer, and wow, what an ingenious mind it is! I thought I was a good programmer, but I have to bow before this new level of greatness that I've just witnessed here with Marvin.

I wish the developer all the success in the world. I hope Marvin explodes into the spotlight and becomes a household name. It would be well-deserved! The only downside at present is that the genius of the Marvin desktop app doesn't translate over to the mobile platform. This is the one and only thing that is stopping me from being able to fully commit to Marvin at present. Everything is mobile now, so this in an area where an app simply has to knock it out of the park. Well over half my work is done on my iPhone, so not having an equally-matched version of Marvin in my hand to instantly access all day is, unfortunately, a deal breaker for me. The current mobile version of Marvin is just not ready for prime-time, but I've heard that this issue is currently being addressed, which is great news. I'll be eagerly counting the days until then!

Still, I highly, highly, highly recommend that you get the desktop version of Marvin and start checking it out. Hopefully by the time you've gone through its vast array of features, the mobile app will be ready. If you rely heavily on todos in your daily routine, stop what you're doing right now and get this app! It truly is life-changing!

Amazing Marvin is by far the best to do app on the market. I´ve been using it for some months now and I´m still astonished by how easy it is to use as well as it´s huge functionality options. There are functions I´ve never seen anywhere before that make keeping track, planning and scheduling so much easier. All the reasons why I stopped using other to do apps over and over again - I haven´t seen any of them in Amazing Marvin by now.
There are some things that need some polishing (e.g. the android app, but as it´s working and useable, it´s just a minor thing for me), but the bottom line is: I´m really flashed by how Amazing Marvin helped me keep ahead of my work and to avoid overwhelm.
As this is a freeby here on appsumo. It´s a nobrainer to get it.

Amazing Marvin is simply amazing. It's so easy to use but also so powerful once you start adding strategies and workflows in to the mix. It can do or not do what ever you like.
As a user, you also get access directly to the Devs who respond to member queries and feedback first hand.
This is the best productivity app on the market. Full stop.
