Q: This map is still in Spanish when I asked for English

No matter what I request from the AI, it continues to respond in Spanish, likely because I'm currently in Gran Canaria. I’ve repeatedly asked it to switch to English, but it persists in writing in Spanish. Please make the necessary updates to ensure it only responds in English. Despite changing the settings to English, it still writes in Spanish.

A: First of all, I'm sorry! Are the materials you use to generate your mind maps (text, pdf, etc.) in Spanish? In the form that generates the mind map, you can manually select the specified language. Please give it a try. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Q: Recent Updates Notifications

Team AmyMind,

Welcome to AppSumo! I recommend utilizing the "Updates from" section to post your updates. Some of the most-successful campaigns have leveraged this section and helps Sumolings glean information and updates quickly regarding your product. Otherwise, it's a hunt and peck in the Q&A thread. Again, only a recommendation.

Thank you for being responsive and wishing you much success.

Cheers!

Q: Before Committing to a Lifetime Purchase

Hi, I just wanted to say I really like your app. I’ve been looking for something like this, but most similar apps limit AI credits too much. Yours seems fair, especially with the daily reset of 500 AI credits—it’s a great feature.

Before buying a lifetime deal, I have a few questions:

1. Does every AI-based action (like expanding a topic or adding nodes) use 1 AI credit, or do different actions use different amounts?

2. Is your current model of 500 daily AI credits per user sustainable for your business?

3. What are your long-term plans? Will you keep running the app, or might you sell it? If the business is sold or the direction changes, what happens to lifetime users? Will our purchase still be honored?

Thanks for your time. I look forward to your answers before making my decision.

A: Thank you for your kind words about AmyMind! I’m really glad to hear that you appreciate the daily AI credits system—it’s designed to strike a balance between usability and sustainability.

To address your questions:

1. **AI Credit Usage:** Every AI-based action (expanding a topic, adding nodes, etc.) consumes **1 credit** uniformly. There are no variable costs for different actions.

2. **Sustainability of 500 Daily Credits:**
- For regular users, the current model is sustainable.
- For **lifetime users**, offering 500 daily credits indefinitely isn’t viable long-term from a business perspective. However, lifetime deals are **strictly limited in quantity**—they’re primarily meant to help more people discover and experience AmyMind.

3. **Long-Term Plans:**
- We have **no plans to sell** and are fully committed to growing AmyMind. In fact, I’ve already **turned down acquisition offers** because I believe in the product’s independent future.
- If an unlikely scenario like a sale ever arises, we’d **ensure a fair arrangement** for lifetime users. That said, I genuinely don’t foresee this happening.

Hope this clarifies things! Let me know if you’d like further details.

Q: Connect Nodes

Will there be a function to connect nodes not by branches, but by lines to see connections between nodes?

A: Thank you for your valuable suggestion! The cross-node connection feature you mentioned is indeed a great idea.

Currently our mind map uses tree-based branch structures, but I completely understand your need to create direct connections between nodes from different branches. This would help users better visualize relationships and dependencies between concepts.

We'll seriously consider adding this feature to our future development roadmap. Thanks again for your feedback, and feel free to share any other ideas you might have!
