I’d like to confirm one specific WhatsApp use case.
Can I connect my personal WhatsApp number via QR code and have AnyChat automatically let a trained AI Assistant reply to inbound messages based on my knowledge base, documents, website links and custom instructions?
Or does the WhatsApp bot require predefined conversation flows where I must manually build each possible path?
In short, can I set: inbound WhatsApp message → AI Assistant generates a contextual reply → reply is sent back on WhatsApp?
Please confirm if this works with WhatsApp QR, or only with the official WhatsApp Business API. Also, are there limitations like QR disconnections, human handoff, AI/API costs or restrictions on personal numbers?

Yes, you can connect your personal WhatsApp account, and AI can reply to your customers based on the provided context.
This works the same way for every channel.
We do not impose any extra fees for AI and API services, but you will be billed directly by the AI provider. If you utilize the official WhatsApp API, they will also bill you directly.

Can AnyChat connect to a custom OpenAI-compatible AI provider using my own API key, base URL/endpoint, and model name?
I use OpenCode, which provides multiple AI models via API, and I’d like to use it with AnyChat’s AI Assistant for WhatsApp replies.
