I don’t usually leave 1-star reviews, but I feel compelled to share this because my experience with Arvow has been genuinely disappointing.

I’ve bought 200+ tools on AppSumo over the years, so I’m very familiar with how lifetime deals usually work. Limitations are expected, but the core value of the product should still be usable without immediately being pushed into a subscription.

After purchasing Tier-4, I logged in and quickly realized that most of the features that actually make Arvow appealing are locked behind upgrade prompts. I reached out to support to understand what was included, and they confirmed the AppSumo deal only covers manual features like writing articles, editing, and creating templates.

Key features such as AutoBlog, integrations (WordPress, Webflow, Shopify), the knowledge base, and the site optimizer are all subscription-only. Unfortunately, those are the exact features that differentiate this tool from many cheaper alternatives.

The result is that the LTD feels more like a restricted version or teaser than a complete product. You can use it manually, but that’s not where the real value of the platform seems to be.

I asked if there was any way to get short-term access to the automation features just to properly evaluate the full workflow before considering an upgrade. The answer was no, instead, I was encouraged to subscribe and offered bonus credits and an onboarding call. That doesn’t really solve the issue for someone who bought a lifetime deal expecting meaningful access from day one.

Overall, this has been one of my most disappointing AppSumo purchases. The listing gave the impression that the tool would be far more usable than it actually is under the LTD. Unless the limitations are made extremely clear upfront, I think many buyers will feel misled.

Not going to say much other that, it is not good. Love the concept and settings they have (allowing to build my brand voice into the blogs, add my own images, etc) but overall, the blogs generation is not good.

I used their default settings for a blog and had Gemini rank the blog. This is what Gemini said: "Right now, this content is a C+. It is functional but falls into 'SEO traps' from 2015. It tries to please everyone, which means it will likely rank for neither."

Oh, did I mention that in order for you to even test out the BUSINESS tier (adding your own brand voice and imagery), you need to subscribe to it. Instead of just getting their cheaper tier, I really wanted to try out the KNOWLEDGE BASE and IMAGERY settings, I opt in for the second tier sub. Not worth it.

For some reason it appears that my fellow Sumolings don't give too good reviews to Arvow. So I gave it a try myself. The founders of Arvow hold really good livestreams on YT, highly recommended for anyone interested in SEO in the age of LLMs. Besides that, Arvow generate solid articles, they are interesting to read and optimized. It's not a true lifetime deal. I think the founders didn't quite get the concept of Appsumo – yes, those deals here usually would mean replenishing credits monthly, but what you get in return is being part of entrepreneurial community which will keep bringing you new customers - also for a lifetime. As such, this deal misses the point. But the credits give you a chance to generate a good amount of really readable articles - still worth it.

I decided to take a chance on ARVOW (Tier 1) through AppSumo, even though many SEO-writing tools on the platform have disappeared or stopped responding in the past. What already concerned me was that this is the first AppSumo SEO tool I’ve seen where the credits aren’t lifetime — they’re one-use and non-refundable, even though the license supposedly is. It feels like a marketing tactic to bring in early customers while minimizing their own risk.

Unfortunately, the product itself is even more disappointing. The website mentions “connected to the web for updates,” but whatever integration they’re referring to is not included in the AppSumo deal. The rewrite feature is still “coming soon,” the SEO keyword chain tool is extremely limited, and the whole interface is messy and confusing. Default free chatgtp is writing better articles.

On top of that, the dashboard is filled with upsells: webinars, backlink packages, upgrades, add-ons… It feels more commercial than functional. I paid €49 for Tier 1, but honestly, it’s not even worth that in its current state.

Since the credits are non-refundable, I’ll just keep the license and see where it ends up — but based on similar tools, I wouldn’t be surprised if a year from now there’s a “new version” under another name making this 'life time license' worthless...

If I could give myself advice in hindsight: don’t buy it.

I saw the author replied and he was really nostalic about wanting to built the best product, but try looking for this old product name namely TryJournalist.com and the many bad reviews the product got because after less then a year they rebranded it and all those licenses also became worthless..
And the author replies to several things I mentioned in my review but I am still waiting for a reply to any of my support questions so they feel its more important to reply to reviews than provide support..

I’ve been using Arvow for about 2–3 years now, and it’s easily my favorite AI writing and site optimization tool. When I saw they launched a lifetime deal on AppSumo, it was a no-brainer. Truly one of the best AI writers on the market — it’s paid for itself many times over.
