I was wondering if it was possible to have a way to limit who can contact who. My main use case would be ensuring all users could message the admin of the WordPress site, but subscribers could not communicate together. This way I would be able to chat to my students on a LearnDash course and talk to them over video - but restricts peer-to-peer text. thanks!

AtomChat's Advanced Contact Configuration setting allows you to limit who can contact who based on their roles! Here, you can easily configure the contact list of each role to show the Admin and not other subscribers.
Perfect fit for your use case! Your students can chat with you, but not with each other (just like in a classroom :p)

You'll find the Advanced Contact Configuration option in your AtomChat Admin Panel - Settings - Contact Configuration.
Also, please ensure one user from each role logs in after AtomChat is installed for the roles field to get populated :)
