I was excited about Atomchat but could not activate the account. Appsumo Support did not resolve the issue and sent me irrelevant advice on using a different email. This was NOT the case here. I never had an account with any email. I tried countless different emails and none would work. Had to refund even though I wanted to use this product. Appsumo Support offered to activate manually and then never did. Appsumo support failed me.

Chat box only is active on my site if I am working from the dashboard. Once I log out then the chat stops working. Sound notifications are not working either. I have not tested anything else and won't until I can at least get the basics working and then I'll come back with a review.

I want this to work but so far its a no go.

I have to say, I've read reviews that weren't terribly happy with customer support. I've honestly had the opposite experience. I needed help in integrating with software that was not on their integrations list back when I bought on the first LTD they offered. The atomchat team was incredibly helpful, went in with custom coding and had everything working seamlessly in no time. They helped when I wanted to make changes to my format or didn't realize where to enable and disable things in the dashboard back then (my bad not theirs...but they were great about helping and everything was easy peasy clear from there). They helped again when I asked about being grandfathered into this new LTD deal. Maybe I've been lucky, but all their support was done in a timely professional helpful effective manner. I've had no issues with atomchat on our site in the two years it's been there. Before getting atomchat, our people were communicating by email and social sites, sharing files with we-transfer, doing video chats with zoom...a lot of messy back and forth all over the place. With atomchat they could do screensharing while working on projects, share those larger files without any outside services, collaborate on documents, communicate with video calls, audio call etc all in our own branded site. We haven't used the fact it allows people to communicate in their own languages with auto translation, but figure that will make it easier for anyone anywhere to collaborate all in one place. Never had an issue with the software running well. For all the reasons above...they get five taco's from me.

Before buying I asked a question about the platform I use.

I was told that they will help me integrate with my platform.

I tried by myself then when I couldn't get it I contacted support to help me.

Support sometimes responds after more than a week.

I asked to activate the "social login".

It took a while, then finally they told me there was something wrong with it.

I asked again to help me with the integration.

Support still took a while to respond to me.

They asked me to make an appointment online.

But my main language is not English so I would have preferred chat or email support.

So since then, I have never been able to put Atomchat into production.

This is a nifty chat application that can be embedded quickly and almost anywhere. I really like it a lot for what it is, a simple and clean chat application. It has a solid set of features such as file sharing, audio calls, and whiteboard. On the admin side, it is very powerful regarding what kind of access, user settings, and features you which to include in each segment.

The UI is okay, I wish I could customize it further and make a dark mode as well as have it automatically load and open to the groups page rather than contacts page. I think this is important so that people understand what they are landing on when they open your chatroom page, especially for the first time, and you want them to navigate quickly to designated groups.
