I have watched strategy get written down three times and believed none of them. There is the offsite deck, true for about a week. There is the planning spreadsheet with nine tabs and exactly one person who understands it. There is the PDF somebody exported in January. None of them is the plan, and by March nobody can tell you which project is serving which objective, or what actually ships next month. I built Atomic Planning because I wanted one page instead of three artifacts. You set the year's objectives, you attach every project to the objectives it serves, and you land each milestone in a month. That is the whole model. It deliberately stops short of being a task tracker, because your team already has one of those, and pulling exec planning down to task level is exactly how a plan stops being readable. The part I did not expect to matter most is the MCP server. You connect your plan to Claude or Cursor with one URL, then ask what is in motion this month or have it schedule the next milestone. Where it goes next is making the plan easier to hand to the rest of the company: better team views, and a shared link that looks like your company rather than mine.
