Too many barriers for professional use

Unfortunately, Audiorista falls far short of being a usable solution for anyone working with real audio libraries, albums, or catalogs.

There is no functional bulk upload workflow. Every file must be edited individually. You cannot properly upload an album, assign shared tags in bulk, or manage multiple files at once in any practical way.

Only MP3 audio files are supported, which feels extremely outdated and unnecessarily restrictive.

Image support is equally limited to PNG only.

There is no usable file structure or proper catalog system. Since albums cannot be created, I tried using collections. To add files to a collection, I must manually type the exact title of each file one by one. With over 400 files, this is completely unrealistic. There is no alternative method and no multi-select.

Due to these limitations, I honestly do not know who this app is meant for. Any musician, label, or audiobook creator needs proper structure and flexibility. The lack of basic organizational freedom makes this app extremely frustrating to use.

One positive aspect: I did like that I was able to see my creative changes directly in the Audiorista beta app, which allowed me to almost design the app in real time. However, the design options were quite limited, and the beta has since expired, so I cannot even access it anymore.

I will be requesting a refund, which is a real shame because the core idea behind Audiorista is great. I simply needed a platform where I could upload my label catalog, organize it in a standard way, add tags, and let customers stream through an app. With fewer restrictions and a proper content management system, this could have been an excellent tool. Sadly, in its current state, it is not usable for professional workflows.

Hi Benjamin,

Thank you for the review.

To be clear, Audiorista is designed to handle larger catalogs through RSS ingestion, which automatically imports all files, metadata, artwork, ordering and allows you to create album-style structures using tags and collections. Enabling you and other content owners to easily structure your mobile app with curated content.

The AppSumo tiers intentionally...

Very promising

Hello everyone,

This time, the review will be short because I haven't yet had the time to push the project all the way to the end (which would be to publish the application).

For now, I just want to talk about the creative aspect. The setup is very simple, and you can very easily customize the application (logo, etc.).
Several templates exist, and you can easily modify the layout. As is often the case, it will be very difficult to get exactly what you have in mind if it's crazy, but if you want to create a very polished, very clean, and fairly classic application that handles audio (and why not video), you’ll have what you need.

I will personally use it to try to offer an audio meditation/hypnosis app (like Calm), and I think it will work.

Currently, they rely quite a bit on other products: Mux for video, and RevenueCat for the paywall. Both are quite well-known and reliable, so I see no problem there. Both offer free access below a certain usage limit.

So here’s how I see it: I took Tier 3. I don’t think the others are really worth it. Yes, it’s limited to 200 users per month, but if I charge 10 euros per month for app access, I will easily be able to upgrade to the Business plan and remove those limits.
The plan offered here is therefore very interesting: it allows you to test the waters, launch a project, and see how it works. If it doesn’t work out, no big loss and you can keep looking for the right method. If it works, no problem continuing to deploy it.

So I can’t confirm that the entire process works, but I’ve tested the creation phase a lot, in every way, and it works very well. It’s very intuitive. And (especially!!!) it’s very easy to test the live rendering on your phone. This pleasantly surprised me.

PS: The only time I needed help from them, they responded within the day and were very available.

In four words : get the tier 3.

I can finally launch my own branded app fast

Watch my full review on YouTube: https://youtu.be/EwbbYTNe1iw

If you’ve ever wanted to launch your own app quickly, AudioRista is a decent tool that lets you create an app in just a day. I had no issues adding my video course content. However, to get everything running smoothly, there are a few setup steps you need to complete.

For instance, if you want to see how your app will look on a device, you need to download the preview app on your phone. While you can preview parts of your app within AudioRista itself, the most accurate representation is only available through the preview app on a mobile device.

To make your app publicly available, you must set up both your Apple and Android developer accounts, which involves several steps on their ends to get it up live. Additionally, if you want to accept in-app payments, setting up a RevenueCat account is necessary. For uploading videos (which I did), you also need to create an account with Mux.

Some popular integrations like Stripe and Facebook are not included in this deal unless you talk to sales to upgrade. However, you can still connect webhooks and use Zapier.

The user interface is simple and clean, but the overall user experience takes some time to get used to. Setting everything up is manageable as long as you carefully follow the launch checklist to avoid missing any important steps.

I would say this tool is useful if you have a podcast or audiobooks, as it allows you to easily turn that content into a dedicated app. It’s also a good option for course creators who want their students to access content on the go. I think this could serve perfectly as an added benefit for buying your courses or maybe you can upsell the app. A great way to increase sales and make more money!

Misleading Offering – Many Core Features Locked Behind “Contact Sales”

The product presentation is impressive, but unfortunately, the actual offering is quite misleading.

I purchased the Tier 2 license, expecting the listed features to be included — however, many of them are not.
For example:
The iOS app is advertised as included, but CarPlay doesn’t work, even though it’s highlighted on the homepage.
In-app payments are supposedly part of the plan, but in reality, they rely on a third-party service that charges commissions once you hit a certain threshold.
Push notifications are not included either; you have to contact sales for custom pricing.
The Tier 2 plan looks like a solid mid-tier option on the pricing page, but it’s far more limited than it appears. It feels like the setup is designed to get users to invest time and effort before realizing that a costly upgrade (around $5K/month) is required to access essential functionality — a pattern we’ve unfortunately seen before on AppSumo.
I’m genuinely surprised AppSumo approved this deal in its current form, as it doesn’t seem like an early-stage product, but rather a cleverly packaged upsell funnel. Proceed with caution.

Hi hi8732,

Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback — we genuinely appreciate it.

I completely understand your frustration, and I want to clarify a few points so there’s no confusion for other Sumo-lings reading this.

Our website highlights the full range of features available across all plans. Tier 2 and Tier 3 on AppSumo are part of the Lite Plan, which includes all...
