Q: How can I add photos at photos at certain points in the path?
Hi Toby, I am almost ready to buy again, and. I'm trying to decide which plan to get. The truth is since I bought the product the first time round I never have had the time to use it properly. I did one test and that's it. Today I decided to do a walk and test with a GPX file. I took photos at certain points on the walk. I would like to be able to upload those photos at certain points on the route. How can I do that? Is there a way? Or does it have to be done through photo links? If so how? I hope there is a way. Please advise. Also, you should create a good knowledge base section on your website. Might reduce the number of emails you get from people like me :)

Jul 28, 2025A: I have to disappoint you — this isn’t possible at the moment. But! It’s one of the most requested features and very high on my to-do list. While it doesn’t exist yet, it’s definitely coming in the near future.
Development will start soon, but syncing images, videos (and even pause segments) with the timeline isn’t trivial. Before I can tackle that, I need to rework some of the underlying architecture of AvoMap. Currently, segments are based on percentages of the total video duration — that system will be replaced with real-time slots, giving you much more control and flexibility over the structure of your video.
Once that’s in place, I’ll focus on adding media overlays like images and videos, along with features like intro and overlay texts — turning AvoMap into a proper storytelling engine.
