First, congratulations! AvoMap on AppSumo looks super-cool, especially its ability recent flights combined with car journeys and hikes to plot custom animated 3D routes. The ability to pin stops and highlights with icons and throw in your own branding makes it tempting for both fellow travellers and content creators.
Now, here are my questions for the author: with Tier 1 (basic plan with five credits/month) you can make one short video/per credit, and that extras like 4k and more icons cost credits? Let’s say you’re intending to go on a long Southeast Asia run and stop off at places to photograph or film, and bung them on the map, would Tier 1 be enough, or is Tier 2 the way to go for more feature/credit flexibility? Should we go Tier 2 to earn more credits, make more complete videos with the lot?

With Tier 1, you get 6 credits per month, and 1 credit = 1 standard Full HD video. Features like 4K resolution, extra icons, white-labeling/custom branding or longer video durations can cost additional credits depending on what you include.
If you're planning a longer Southeast Asia trip — with multiple segments, stops, and possibly 4K renders — then Tier 2 (which gives you 12 credits per month) might be a better fit.
That said, you can also buy additional one-time credits anytime if you find yourself needing more — so you’re not locked into just the monthly allotment.
So: For quick, occasional videos, Tier 1 might be enough. For more serious travel storytelling or content creation, Tier 2 gives you more freedom — and you can always top up if needed.
