A: Focusing on features which can attract more paying users and specifically business/agencies. Took few weeks off that’s why there’s no major update since Feb.

A: I was travelling and took some time off. Going forward roadmap will be private and we are going to focus on features which can attract monthly paying users.

A: Your support in marketing and feedback so we can attract new monthly accounts. Plus we are switching to Hot and Cold storage. 50-60% of files are 30+ days old so we can put them into long-term archive storage like AWS Glacier which is like $0.99/TB

We thought storage removal will be smooth for AppSumo users as well because our monthly users didn't care about included storage. However, storage was the only highlight of our AppSumo plans. So after getting 300+ tickets it was clear :)

Currently, we are not losing money and we are not making money. So things are stable-ish and would love your support to grow further.

A: Yes. Everything is the same as before. The update you see in From Founder section is approved by AppSumo. We had a call and discussed a few options - the best solution was to keep everything as it is and ask our 2000+ AppSumo users to help with marketing and feedback so we can attract new sales.

A: It is still on roadmap. There were other priorities so a lot of promised features were delayed. I don't have ETA but most likely before end of this year.

A: Hi. Yes, you can connect your storage account like AWS S3 or any other storage options we support and choose it as a backup destination (you can select multiple) in the schedule.

So our servers in Europe will generate a backup, compress the backup and then upload it to your storage and then delete all files.

We had multiple locations a few months ago but hardware and bandwidth are not available in US/Canada. As we grow and more options become available then we will definitely add a US location next.

A: Hello. You can't backup the MSSQL server just yet. It's something we are planning to add this year.

A: Yes for unlimited websites and databases :) code is mainly for storage. Everything else is unlocked and available for everyone.

A: Hello. Restore is manual so you have to download files and databases and then upload them to the new hosting account. We can help you with the transfer if the files are big.

We planned to release the restore feature 2 months ago but there were other priority items. So it's being delayed. At some point this year, there will be a restore from the UI feature available because we have already started development.

A: Hello. We have more generic integrations using FTP/SFTP/FTPs, SSH and Remote Database access. It's by design to keep things simple and to support future enhancements :)

I have explored cPanel APIs but it's too much work and backup depends on the server.

It's a bit of work if you have 100 cPanel accounts but it's a one-time thing :)

A: We have plans to offer more advance encryption at backup level. It will be encryption keys per node level.

A: Hi. Next item is to give users access to storage buckets so they can push backups to BackupSheep using any tool that supports S3.

Then incremental backups. Then we will focus on developing more and more integrations.

A: Hello. As long as you don't plan on cloning the full server. We are not designed for full server images. If you want to backup specific files/folders then BackupSheep is perfect.

It will be a full backup. However, we are working on incremental backups as well.
