Good Start but MAJOR Security Issue
Beezer absolutely is correct that PWAs (progressive web apps) offer tremendous value for organizations who don’t have the resources (or don’t want) to develop fully-deployed mobile apps. The Beezer site is chock full of cool little widgets and features to enable an interesting PWA presence. There is also quite a bit of scholarly research showing a trend toward PWAs and Beezer is well-positioned to capitalize on this trend.
That being said, there are some major issues. The biggest is that, after your user sign up, they receive an email containing their user ID and the password they signed up with. This means that Beezer absolutely stores clear-text passwords! This is a HUGE violation of Information Security standards! So don’t use a password you can’t afford to have leak on the dark web. The other big login issue we encountered was with “App Admins” (sub-accounts). Email addresses can’t be reused by app sub-accounts. This means that if you create 4 apps for a customer, and assign admins, each admin must have 4 unique email addresses.
As far as features, one of the biggest things lacking is some way to do custom (Javascript) pages. This means you can't really pull data from an external API.
Hopefully they'll fix the security bugs because, when they do, they really have a shot at being the best in this emerging industry and we look forward to revising reviews!
