Q: It's almost a year since I bought this and maybe 6 months since I started paying $9/mo for extra credits....

1) So far I used it exactly 0x so far because simply the quality is not there (not yet anyway) for it to appear realistic. The suggestion to be that far away from the camera to make it better is unfeasible, who sits 5 feet from their computer?

2) After waiting for almost 1 year, I decided to use at least dynamic background, using prospects' LinkedIn. It simply doesn't work. Bhuman fails to generate the background and gives an error. It prompts me to contact support.

I reached out to support 10 days ago about this and they still can't figure out why. Even worse, I see they're reading my questions it takes them several days to reply.

It's super frustrating and I am not sure what to do. And the frustration grows, apparently this problem is specific just to my account. After years of using hundreds of different SaaS tools I NEVER encountered problem this big that took so long to resolve (and counting).

So far the experience has been horrible but I am not going down that path of leaving bad reviews etc. but I think my experience would justify it.

I am trying to reach out here to the founder to see if he can speed up this process or look into it in more detail so I can actually start using Bhuman.

Don, any thoughts? What would be the best way to speed this up?

A: Hey, I'll address these point by point.

1. Everyone else has no problem following the recording instructions of being a few feet from their camera, they get great results and are happy with it. If you don't want to follow the instructions there's not much we can do... It's like saying you don't want to follow the manual from IKEA, and then you're frustrated when your new desk isn't put together correctly. With that said, our new lip sync which will come out soon will make it so you don't have to be as far from the camera anymore.

2. Linkedin dynamic backgrounds are indeed working. They were offline during for maintenance for a few days, but that was over 6 months ago. My apologies that that was apparently when you tried to use it.

You had 2 months to refund this but you didn't, as per AppSumo's rules, they do not refund outside of that. You're welcome to join our office hours for hands on help. Bhumam support simply horrible, I had the same issue where I subscribed to one of their tiers (not on appsumo) and had issues from setting out the account to getting the system to work, to setting up zapier integration with my CRM. Support took days and when finally we did a zoom, he rushed through it and didn’t help and ended the call to do another zoom without helpin

Exactly. Plus the user interface is from 2010 and near impossible to use. Doesnt integrate with common tools like make/integromat and glitches constantly. Tried to get a refund but of course they refused. I'd give this company zero stars if i could

Thank you so much for writing this ridiculous response, it just shows how dishonest you are. "Everyone else...get great results and are happy with it" -- are you sure about that? I suggest you actually read reviews of people here, because you have MANY very negative reviews about the quality of your product, so saying everyone else has great results and is happy is just ridiculous.

Secondly, I suspect you don't read the reviews, the same way you responded to my comment in November despite being published in February. I have all the communication stored, I was facing issues for several months, not days, not weeks, months. I suggest you also search for bhuman across online communities to see what people really think about Bhuman and the quality of output

Are you personally following up with users? I mean there are clearly many ongoing complaints.

Just by Don’s dismissive responses here saying “everyone else is happy and has no issues with following instructions” Don is suggesting that those of us pointing out what we have experienced don’t know how to follow instructions and don’t matter as much since everyone else is happy and fine with how things are. Agreed. That's founder-builder hubris. That doesn't show a listening from feedback and that is reminiscent of support or developer speak, well, "it works for me." Doesn't land well with buyers... The product doesn't look evolved enough to give that kind of feedback based on comments to date.

I was about to purchase but after reading these issues....I stay on the sideline...appeared to be really useful but I have to keep reminding myself tat some of these beta companies and sometimes you roll the dice and just wait it out.....or pass...damn I wanted this to work.

I'm sorry but if you aren't willing to follow our recording instructions, you will not get a good result. For where we are right now, no amount of AI magic can fix that... But, the new model will certainly have less guidelines, so it should be easier!

Don I think the best thing is to have dedicated support to provide clients who have issues to configure everything till it is working. The office hours where I only get 15 minutes of your team support is not the best for these issues. It may be great for general audience for whom bhuman is working but not those here for those of us experiencing difficulties with bhuman and need more support

Hi Edwin, during the days when AppSumo is fresh & live, the office hours are joined by a lot of people so we need to split our time between folks. Typically there is only 1-2 people in the whole hour, outside of the AppSumo craze. With that said I will look into adding another hour onto our office hours right now considering the demand. The morning office hours are quite restrictive and not convenient which is why not many people show up.

Those office hours are crazy. If you're in MST or PST it's 7 or 6am! And to say you won't get full features until you sign up for one? Sorry that's not cool

You do get full features without attending them. Office Hours are completely optional and just meant to help you if you need it.

PS. We added new hours so we now have office hours for 2 hours, every weekday.
