I need to have a list of WhatsApp URL Groups and the system rotate the URL every 256 times (the maximum WhatsApp group members you can have) is that possible? Or at least the better option with you dinámic links? Thanks.
A: Howdy. I'm not entirely familiar with this use-case, but it sounds like using our API might be the best way to manage this rotation. You can use our API to monitor click counts and then cycle the link via API. If you wish to dig deeper into the workflow, feel free to drop us an email at help@bl.ink
I actually had a similar question related to the use case of a special offer (e.g. the first 100 people to click this link get "X"). Would it be possible to include as a parameter in the dynamic links in the future the ability for the destination URL to change after "X" number of clicks? Btw, the password feature you mentioned, would it be included in the SMB plan us Sumolings are getting?
Also @LFDLW, which Wordpress plugin did you use to solve this problem you had?
The use case of redirecting after X clicks is on our radar, but not yet a feature of our Dynamic Links.
The password feature is still being reviewed so I cannot confirm yet which plans will be applicable. We discussed this in our engineering meeting last week, but I do not yet have final details. Thanks for the questions!!
Q: I just noticed that you are leaving.
I have another LTD from Appsumo, but what I suffer is tehir own pixel. What it means. If I buld a funnel after a short link, I want to know not only how many people landed on my funnel (clicked on my link), but also how many people opted in or bought. I do not want to use Google or FB pixel, since I have the results on more screen. Do you have or plan your own pixel?
A: Hello. We do plan on introducing pixel tracking and it is on our roadmap, but we do not have a firm date yet. Please see our roadmap here: https://bl.ink/roadmap
INK looks great and I stacked 5 codes. Might you consider or reconsider adding white label at least as part of full stack or upgrade option for an additional code(s) or post-deal upgrade in the future? How can we get this on your roadmap?
A: Hello! We are always considering new features and will continue to review this one as well. Please see this link for our roadmap: https://bl.ink/roadmap
Q: Hi Andy,
Do you plan to add link cloaking as a feature in near future?
I'm not referring to link masking, but a true link cloaking where the destination URL would be loaded within an iFrame?
And one more question: Is conversion tracking on your roadmap and will it be included in your Appsumo deal? I'm referring to pixel or post back (s2s) tracking.
A: Howdy! Our link masking feature currently loads the destination URL in an iFrame. Here is an example: https://bl.ink/whentoupgrade
For conversion tracking, this is something we have experimented with in the past, but it is not actively on our roadmap at the moment. It could return or you may add it to the request list and we will continue to evaluate it for consideration. https://bl.ink/roadmap
The example that you shared loads the shortened URL, not the destination URL.
That's an example of proper link masking, but I'm referring to something else (usually called link cloaking but the name isn't important at all).
It would be better to explain it via an example:
BL.INK shortened URL: https://bl.ink/whentoupgrade Destination URL: https://www.bl.ink/blog/whens-the-right-time-to-upgrade/?sub1=123whatever&sub2=wednesday Cloaked URL (the one that will display in the browser via an iFrame): https://www.bl.ink/blog/whens-the-right-time-to-upgrade
So it basically strips away whatever comes after the full URL path.
I think this is a great feature that wouldn't be too hard for you to implement and I'm sure it will make your tool much more attractive for tens of thousands of marketers who understand the importance of this small detail :)
And thanks for the heads up about the conversion tracking.
Ooohh! Thanks for the education on the difference between masking and cloaking. Your description makes perfect sense and I have a better picture of your request. I will discuss this with our team, but feel free to post it to our roadmap as well so we can get the community to weigh in on it further. (https://bl.ink/roadmap) Again, my thanks for your digging into the details with us. It makes a huge difference!
Are you guys doing any development work as the "in progress" tab is empty in your roadmap (https://new.bl.ink/roadmap) .
2. There is no way to filter and sort based upon number of clicks in the analytics tab, see screenshot (https://imgur.com/a/DQqUVeN) . How can one figure out the trending links or links that are getting the most hits, without downloading the data ?
3. Would really appreciate if you guys can deliver the items on your roadmap, also most of the requested items have been pending any actions for months now, some even for more than 3 months, it looks like it won't be delivered at all.
A: Howdy and thank you for this honest feedback. We are a bit late in updating our roadmap based on some recent development activities and we will be tackling that shortly. We have been busy working on a number of features that we have not listed for the public yet, but will be updating our customers soon. I will be making updates this week to help clarify from our public roadmap what we are actively working on this quarter and what we are planning for next quarter.
We do not have a filter yet to sort by click counts unless you export/download your links. We recently rolled out some functionality that will assist with introducing this feature so I anticipate making this an option down the road.
Again, my thanks for the feedback on our roadmap. I realize that without sharing through this platform that you lack the visibility into what we are feverishly working on behind the scenes. While we are making a number of improvements, some are more meaningful than others. I will make this a higher priority going forward.
A: Hello. We do not yet have an option to upload your logo into our system. You do have the option of specifying your own Home Page and 404 Page values so it is very possible to use our system without the average user knowing that we are involved.
If you are looking for a fully white-label experience for your clients to log into our platform and see your brand instead of BL.INK, that is not a feature we offer or have on our roadmap at this time. Please reach out with any other questions or to clarify the experience. Thank You!
A: Thanks for the great feedback and welcome to BL.INK!
We do have a Channel Reseller program, however there are some financial commitments required as it is far more than a traditional affiliate program. Our Channel program requires some up-front investment and revenue commitments based on your market and our agreement. If interested in discussing it further, please email me at andy@bl.ink and we can dig into the details. Thank You!
A: BLINK works with any valid domain name, which includes subdomains, Top Level Domains, or internal domains. If it resolves, it works. Please reach out with any other questions or drop us a note at help@bl.ink
A: Absolutely. If you delete links in your account, those "slots" may be re-used again. In addition, you can set a delete_on date for each link so it will auto-delete if you know that it will not be needed after a specific date.
A: Hello, Daniel. We do not offer the ability to sort links within folders, but we do offer a tagging option that lets you filter search criteria based on tags. You may also export your links and then search/filter as desired. This may or may not be of interest depending on your use-case.
We do offer geolocation functionality and the ability to dynamically route users based on their City/State or Country. This does not include specific location data for latitude/longitude, but instead uses the registered location of the user IP address.
We do offer a link masking option as well on all custom domains.
If you have any other questions, please let us know here or send an email to help@bl.ink - Thanks!!
what I mean is that the shortened link will open the corresponding app if opened on a mobile device.
for example I shorten (m.youtube.com/xxxxx), and when a person opens this link it will open in the youtube app instead of their browser. and not just limited to YouTube, but all other apps as well.
A: Hello. Yes, we do support deep links. We have a blog post coming out later this week on that very topic with several examples. If you have a specific link or use case that you wish to test, please drop us a note at help@bl.ink with your desired link and we will create a test link for you to review and confirm. We support integration with a number of protocols including several apps(instagram, facebook, etc.), sms:// - tel:// and many more. Thank You!
A: Hello. I am not aware of any issues with the Chrome extension. I just used it and it worked fine. If you are having issues with it, please email us at help@bl.ink.

what happens when a single link has reached it's clicks limit? will it be deactivated or be unable to click? 2. if I use 3 subdomains on 1 root domain for the shortener, would that count as 3 custom domains used, or 1 custom domain used?
A: Hello! When a link reaches the limit of the plan, we still redirect all future clicks, however we stop counting based on the plan limit.
The domains are counted based on the unique domain at the beginning of your link. Based on your description, it would be 3 unique domains: sub1.domain.com sub2.domain.com sub3.domain.com
We will continue to redirect, but we will stop counting in our analytics. Your options would be to upgrade to a higher tier or reset the clicks back to zero.

A: Hello! I am familiar with JotURL and Rocketlink, but maybe not as familiar as you as I have never used them personally. I suspect that our platforms have a lot of similarities and some definite differences. It may likely be best to tell me what you love about them or dislike about them and I can focus on those particular differences. Serious question, but how is it possible that someone starting a direct competitor to these other link shorteners and NEVER personally try them out?? It seems like using those other services so that you know exactly what you are missing or beat them at would be at the top of your list.
Please check out those other services, just for a trial run, especially Switchy, so that you know exactly why they have so many downloads compared to you, as I really want to see some better things on your roadmap, and I think in order to success it's essential that you check them all out and take notes.
Q: Hello.
I'd like to use Blink as a reseller which I will provide the service to my users with pricing plans. Is it possible? Also do you provide white label option?
