Q: Couple of questions related to tasks/todos: 1.

Do you support code syntax/blocks (eg code highlighting with backticks) in comments and descriptions? As a web development agency this is quite important for us to be able to embed code snippets.
2. Are task/card cover images selectable (the image that is shown as a preview for the task in the kanban view).
3. Can comments be edited by the user? For example, I add a comment to a task and then want to make changes to this (typos, etc).

Thanks,
Chris

A: Hey Chris,

Thanks for your questions, please see below:

Couple of questions related to tasks/todos:

1. No code syntax/blocks support yet, but we're going to implementing a new editor next year that includes that + real time collaborative editing as well.
2. Yes, task/card cover images are selectable. We pick the first image that is uploaded to the description on the left hand side of the card.
3. Comments cannot be edited. We thought about this a lot, and we wanted Bloo to be the one source of truth. Eventually, we will make it editable and then show the changes to the comments if someone wants to dig in and review the changes.

Hope that helps!

Manny

Thanks for your response, Manny - much appreciated.

Currently we use Trello for everything and comments there can be freely edited. Honestly, the number of times I edit comments is huge - I will read and reread my own comments and make changes to improve clarity etc. I also sometimes use comments for note-taking and will update them as a task progresses.

Without comment editing we would need to delete a comment and re-add it which would be pretty painful to do as frequently as I need to.

I know you said you will be adding this in the future but I think comment editing should be prioritised as it is fairly fundamental for this type of system. I also see quite a few others here asking for this too.

Can you let me know your thoughts and if there's a rough timeframe for adding this please?

Thanks,
Chris

Hey Chris,

Yes totally get you on that.

If you're using comments to take notes, I would suggest the description field is a better use for that, as you can freely edit that at any time.

We're sitting down as a team to review the roadmap based on all the feedback we've been receiving since the launch here last week, and then we will reprioritize!

Kind regards,
