Was excellent - Turned unusable with changes limits in V2.0
Blue was really an excellent process and project management tool. Reliable, fast, generous limits, easy to use, great features. Most of all, the founder was always approachable and responsive.
In May 2026, Blue enforced a change to a new Version 2.0. Literally everything turned south from here. Limits were cut in ridiculous ways disabling any reasonable utilization. Everything implemented before became unusable over night. To get things back, the only option s entering a USD 500 subscription. The founder stopped responding in the usual attentive way and turned literally hostile.
It appears as if the AppSumo campaign was intentionally created to lure users to use the systems and to generate funds to develop Blue - only to kick everyone out that was helping to expand the capabilities of Blue financially and with useful feedback/ input. And AppSumo also got offended when the old unlimited features were still sold via the platform till the end. Which could be considered intentional cheating.
Total and utter disappointment.
Hope AppSumo will find a way out of this mess although they did nothing wrong at all.

Serious concerns after almost 1 year as a Tier 5 LTD user
After almost one year of using Blue on Tier 5, I had to come back here and write this review.
I want to be very clear: whether you are a new or existing user, I believe this product currently has very serious issues. I hope AppSumo looks into this and protects customers who purchased this deal in good faith.
1. Performance has become extremely poor
After a series of updates over the past 6 months, the app has become painfully slow. It now takes real effort to use Blue for daily work. This is completely different from the beginning, when the app was fast and smooth.
2. Unexpected limits were imposed on LTD users
Recently, it feels like Blue has been trying to push LTD users away by adding unreasonable limits, without proper notice.
For example:
- They limited each board/workspace to 2,000 records. 2,000 records? Even many simple tools offer more than that. As a Tier 5 user, this limit makes Blue almost unusable for serious work.
- This limit was applied while I was actively using the product. My board currently has over 6,000 records, and now I cannot create new records.
- They also limited automations to 500. With only 500 automations, you can barely use automation at all unless your workflow is extremely small.
The biggest issue is not only the limits themselves. The biggest issue is that there was no proper warning. These limits were simply applied to my account, and my active business workflows immediately stopped working. I am now being forced to urgently move to another platform.
This makes me feel that the company does not value its customers. They do not seem to care about the businesses that rely on their product. It feels like they think Blue should only be used for small, non-critical projects that can be abandoned at any time.
And then, after applying these limits, they give you an “option”: pay $500/year to increase the limits.
So at first, the product was sold with generous usage. Then later, new limits were applied, and users were pushed toward paid upgrades. From my experience, this feels extremely unfair and very disappointing. I have never experienced something like this on AppSumo before.
I strongly hope AppSumo conducts a full review of this situation and warns customers properly about this vendor.

Lifetime Deal With Significant Account & Privacy Risk
I was a legitimate AppSumo Tier 5 customer since 2020 and invested heavily into this platform expecting long-term stability and trust.
My account was permanently suspended years later after internal file review procedures that included automated scanning and human review of uploaded content. Regardless of where someone stands on policy enforcement, future buyers should clearly understand that this platform reserves the right to inspect stored files and permanently terminate access to a lifetime purchase without meaningful recovery options.
What concerns me most is not only the suspension itself, but the consumer risk involved:
* loss of long-term workspace access,
* limited dispute resolution,
* dependence on unilateral enforcement decisions,
* and the reality that a “lifetime” investment can effectively disappear overnight.
Before investing significant data, workflows, or business operations into this ecosystem, I strongly recommend carefully reviewing the Terms of Service, privacy implications, acceptable use policies, and long-term platform risk tolerance.
For some users this may still work well, but customers should fully understand the level of control the platform maintains over hosted content and account continuity.

May 28, 2026So add some additional context here:
This customer uploaded pirated software copies + license cracks to our servers, which is against our TOS. This is exactly what would happen on any other platform.
And to clarify our policies, we don't scan content with AI (which would be incredibly expensive as we have hundreds of TB of files). Rather, we use AI to review metadata (file names, file types,...

Removing custom domain
Custom domains have negligible cost, removing them is a big red flag.
"the old version of Blue (v1) and its infrastructure will be shut down at the end of Q2, which means the custom domain service will no longer be available. "

Holy Cow the brand new platform update is incredible!
WOW! Blue just launched their platform rebuild. The UX is beautiful. So many new features, including ability to add cover images to cards. It looks and behaves more now like Asana with more features and automations.
Before Blue was a bit buggy. It's smooth, consistent & I am now confident I can fully make the switch from Asana and ditch the monthly subscription.
SO HAPPY Blue is continuing to improve the software, unlike many LTDs which have grabbed the cash and ghosted customers.
