Q: Hi, I just purchased Tier 5 and have technical questions regarding the activation.

Before the purchase, I signed up for a trial account with a different email address than here and played a little in a sandbox. But I used the company name (as a handle) which I would like to use in the paid account now - and that wasn't smart perhaps. I see it is used in the URL, so it must obviously be unique. Some platforms may keep the usernames/handles reserved if they have been used by someone, even when the original user changes their username.
So, I have 2 questions:
1. If I enter in the activation the same email address as in my trial account, will the paid plan be transferred to that account?
2. Otherwise: if I change the company username (URL) in my trial account, will that username become available again, so that I can use it in my paid account?

A: Hey there!

Sorry, I missed this question! Let me answer!

1. So when you sign up after purchase in AppSumo, we will check if there is an active account with the same email as your AppSumo account email. If yes, you can choose to apply the license to an active or expired free trial, or to spin up a new company.
2. Yes, if you change the company username (URL), it will become instantly available again so you can register it.
