A little guy who lives in a Bloo world

So if Vivify is on one side of the spectrum, targeting one niche, or at least does one niche pretty well while neglecting broader project management, then Bloo is on the complete opposite side.

Bloo is much more geared towards broader project management. Don't look for scrums, sprints, invoicing, time tracking, etc. here. Where Vivify feels a bit enterprise-y in that its interface is very templated and uninspired, Bloo diverges from that and provides a more modern and fun experience - albeit fairly limited.

If you're a seasoned Project Management veteran, you may feel as though Bloo leaves a lot to be desired. As I mentioned above, there are facets you may be accustomed to which are completely missing from Bloo.

It doesn't feel as though there is a lot of...depth...to Bloo. Everything is very surface-level, borderline superficial by nature. Not necessarily a bad thing though. It's like seeing that beautiful, European, 6'0", Blonde hair, blue eyed woman walking up to you, clearly very interested in you, then the second she opens her mouth, word garbage comes pouring out and at that moment you realize she's a looker, but dig any deeper and she's an empty void - yet, you see potential so you figure, why not?

Bloo provides the basics. Multiple views, Kanban/Board, List, and Calendar (something sorely missing from Vivify). Custom Fields, with the intent to add even more in the future, some that are actually a little more unique (she's learning how to cook!). Assignees. Due Dates. Tags. Discussions. Files. And that's about it. You now know everything there is to no about this beautiful stranger.

Oh, but she can do that thing where she can roll her tongue and it looks super cool. I mean...Bloo also has automations. While some PM platforms offer this, not all do, so you may be surprised by this hidden talent.

Some areas of improvement?

Tasks = "Todos" = Very frustrating.
It clutters up the "My Todos" list with everything that may or may not be an actual "To Do" item with no way to set filters in "My Todos" to truly sift through what is an isn't important at that time. The only way you clear items from that list are by marking them Complete, either in the list or on the board.
Speaking of marking items complete on the board...

Experienced an annoying bug with automations. When I made an automation that had the rule of "When a 'todo' is moved to 'Completed'" --> remove basically everything, assignees, due date, labels, etc. and mark complete...it did none of those things and instead every time I moved the task, it created a duplicate in its place from the originating list, so before you know it, I have 3+ tasks that are all the same...and none of the automation actions executed.

I would like to see some things like recurring tasks - I don't see that anywhere on the roadmap as of yet, so the fact that it seems like a "basic" feature that isn't even recognized is a bit sad.

Hit character limit, to be continued...

Also, good catch with that bug on automations...we'll get that fixed asap!

In the meantime, a quick refresh of the page solves the problem!

Thanks,

Manny
