Bonboarding

Create virtual product tours to onboard new users without writing any code

Sold out

You can’t expect new users to stick around when your “user-friendly tool” doesn’t even come with a manual. (“Ooh, what does *this* button do?” *cancels subscription*)

Here’s the thing: the worst web app guides just burn and churn users, but creating detailed product tours takes a ton of coding power.

If only there was a no-code platform that could create interactive product tours that keep people from signing out for good.

Say hello to Bonboarding.

At-a-glance

Overview

Bonboarding is a no-code platform that creates virtual product tours designed to enhance your website’s user experience.

Bonboarding lets you create product tours without writing any code, so you can guide new users through your web app’s most important features.

Need to point something out? Highlight specific elements, darken the rest of the page, and add copy to explain what’s going on.

You can also engage users with pop-up modals to provide a short overview of certain web pages or sections in your app.

Best of all, adding this tool to your website is as easy as pasting a code snippet into your codebase or installing a WordPress plugin.

No-code product tours

Create captivating product tours without writing a single line of code.

Bonboarding will automatically detect and match your website design, which means your product tour is always on-brand.

You’ll be able to customize pop-ups and highlights—everything from colors and borders to fonts and spacing.

Even better, this platform lets you create global themes that apply the same design across all your pop-ups and highlights.

Customize visual elements

Customize every visual element to match your branding.

With Bonboarding, you can create product tours to share feature announcements, re-engage customers, and help users in need.

Want to tailor your audience? Create targeting rules that limit access so you’re only displaying tours to users that meet specific criteria.

You can also take advantage of custom values that let you provide user info to personalize all the content they see on the screen.

Custom targeting

Customize all your targeting to show content to the right audience.

This platform lets you collect real-time data on your product tours, including average time spent and tour completion rate.

You’ll even be able to track metrics for every step of the tour to discover where users tend to drop off.

And since you can integrate Bonboarding with Slack and Zapier, it’ll fit right into your current workflow!

Analytics

Diagnose any bottlenecks in your product tour using detailed analytics.

New users aren’t gonna find the features they’re looking for without some direction. (“I feel like I’m just clicking in circles.”)

Good thing Bonboarding is packed with no-code tools and analytics to help you create awesome product tours that keep users on board.

Show off your best features.

Q: I don't see where you have an option to create tool tips.

That is where a user hovers over a option, feature, image and a "tip" pops up, which is a description of the option, feature, image. Is this something you are playing? If so, would we have access to it as an Appsumo early adopter? The tours are useful, but tool tips can be quick reminders or helps for users.

A: You can create tool tips. We have different animations for pulsating circles (and planning to add even more variations, such as "?" icon instead of a circle), that can trigger tooltips. At the moment we only have them on "click" event, but we plan to add the hover effect in Q2.
We're working on updating our documentation to include more details about these tooltips, because indeed they are a special type of product tours.

Q: Under integration it says WordPress.

Can you elaborate how the integration works and what can be done?

A: Hi Pete,
Sure! It can be integrated into any web app. Wordpress is mentioned, because we even developed a WP plugin to make it even easier.
You can read about the integration technicalities in these documentation pages:
https://docs.bonboarding.com/docs/developers/installation/
https://docs.bonboarding.com/docs/developers/wordpress-integration/

Once Bonboarding script is added to your site, you can deliver step-py-step guided product tours to your end users, target these tours to specific users and see analytics about their behavior regarding to your product tours.

Q: basically, unlimited backend role based team users but only on the top tier?

I am trying to wrap my head around the Roles benefit and why it would be needed to spend the extra capital, but if the above is true, that would be another benefit.

A: Hi there,
so some organizations have the need to have different user roles. For example, only one admin should have access to team management, changing the payment information, etc. while some others can edit the product tours, target audiences, and a third group are only reading the analytics without being able to make any changes.
With the role based team users, you can assign each user into one of these three categories.

Q: I don't work with YouTube because videos are public.

Before I consider investing in tier 2 I need to know when Vimeo will be available and how do you pass the variables name from hubspot since I don't see a direct integration. When the user is logged into the site I notice that if he tries to fill in a hubspot form the email is automatically filled in but not the first and last name. My objective is to identify which users take the on-boarding.

A: Hi,
currently we only have the YouTube integration, but planning to add Vimeo within the next few weeks as many people asked for it.
And yes, we currently don't have HubSpot integration. To identify, which users took your onboarding tour, at the moment we can notify Zapier. In the future (probably only Q3 or Q4 of this year) we plan to add more integration options.
