I’ve been building AI chatbot SaaS since 2018. I saw a glimpse of the future back then and here we are now…I’ve been supporting marketers in their AI journey for years, helping them turn conversational data into a strategic asset. What a wild year 2023 was and I’m super excited about 2024!

I co-founded Botsheets because our agency users would build chatbots for their clients and wanted to keep them “out of the kitchen”. Google Sheets was neutral ground where marketers could securely share and collaborate around data with their clients. Spreadsheets are also ubiquitous when it comes to managing data and Google has a mature developer platform that makes it easy to get data in and out. My vision for Botsheets is to build next-generation spreadsheet applications with AI.

First, we analyzed 100+ custom GPT chatbot solutions on the market and discovered that they all focused on automating customer support. Any lead generation capabilities felt like an afterthought. If you’re running an AI chatbot on your website that it isn’t actively working to collect first-party data from website visitors, that’s a huge missed opportunity. I’ve seen a few tools that shoehorn form fields into a chat session, but that doesn’t cut it. Traditional web forms have a 60% abandonment rate.
