Q: 2 memberships on one site

I am starting a non-profit and I have two audiences. One is for virtual assistants, and the other is for administrative professionals. It will be under one umbrella. With this platform, can I have two separate memberships on one, giving them access only to the information for VA and admin professionals? They either want to join the VA community or the Administrative professional community. How would that work if I offered a discount if they signed up for both? Will they have one login for both memberships? The home page has a button to direct them to VA page, and then other will direct them to the Admin professional page.

A: Thanks for your question and for taking the time to check us out! 😊

1. 🔒 Protecting Content Based on Membership Plan
If you’re aiming to restrict access to certain pages or sections of your site based on membership type, this video will be super helpful for you:
https://www.brilliantdirectories.com/blog/make-your-entire-website-members-only-access-private-website
It covers how you can make pages, posts, and other content available only to specific membership levels – perfect for keeping your VA and Admin Professional communities separate or adding a paywall for premium content.

2. 🎯 Multiple Membership Levels & Access
Yes, you can create two distinct membership levels on the same BD site – one for VAs and another for Admin Professionals. Members can only join one plan at a time, but they can upgrade or downgrade if they want to switch between plans.

3. 💡 Bundling & Offering Discounts
You can offer discounts or bundled memberships for members who want access to both communities:

• Use coupon codes for discounted signups.
• Sell a “bundled membership” as a digital product to provide access to both the VA and Admin Professional content at once.

4. 🚪 Managing Access with One Login
Members who upgrade to access both communities will still have a single login to view all the content for both VA and Admin Professional memberships.

5. 🏷️ Naming & Structuring Membership Plans
If you want membership plans to reflect the type of user, check this guide:
https://www.brilliantdirectories.com/blog/how-to-pre-select-categories-individual-vs-company-profile-when-members-sign-up
It shows how you can pre-select categories or profiles during the signup process.

6. 🗂️ Structuring Membership Pages & Access
Use homepage buttons to direct members to either the VA or Admin Professional sections. You can also create private content pages that are visible based on membership type, ensuring members only see content meant for their level.

Please let me know if you have any more questions – always happy to help! 👍
