Q: Can you explain the concept of a member?
Also - if I have members - and they have a service to offer - can that member be accessed by outside users for a paid version of their services? Eg: a coach who sells classes for 10 dollars an hour

What is a “Member” in Brilliant Directories?
A member is anyone who has a profile or login credentials on your site. Members can be businesses, individuals, or general users, depending on how you structure your site. Here’s how members typically work:
• Public Profiles: Members can have customizable public profiles where they showcase their services, skills, or business details.
• Member Management: You control what members can access, post, or offer based on their membership tier.
• Member Limit: Each tier of Brilliant Directories includes an allotment of member profiles, which you can expand as needed.
What’s Not Counted as a Member?
Not everything counts toward your member limit. For example:
• Website Visitors: General users browsing your site without logging in.
• Newsletter Subscribers: People who sign up for email updates but don’t have a site profile.
• Contact Form Submissions: Visitors who reach out through forms but aren’t registered.
Can Members Sell Their Services?
While Brilliant Directories is not a marketplace platform like Etsy or Fiverr, there are ways to facilitate services:
1️⃣ Promoting Services: Members (like your example of a coach) can list their services on their profile pages, including details like pricing, availability, and how to book or purchase.
2️⃣ Direct Contact: Visitors can use contact forms on member profiles or the built-in messaging feature to reach out and arrange services.
3️⃣ Workaround for Paid Services: If you want to allow direct service payments, the admin (you) can handle transactions through the Digital Products Add-On and distribute funds to members manually. However, this requires tracking payments and managing payouts.
💡 Pro Tip: This setup works well if you want to keep control over payments and ensure smooth operations. But for fully automated service sales, you may want to explore more specialized multi-vendor platforms.
