Q: Hello, The idea of a niche specific directory for lead generation for my marketing agency is appealing.
I'm interested to know if you have webhooks available or Zapier / Pabbly Connect integrations so I can send new member leads to my marketing automation platform (Go High Level)?
Do you have any resources / guides on how to best leverage a directory for this agency lead generation model?
Thanks

Jun 27, 2024A: Thank you for your questions!
We currently have a Zapier integration on our roadmap and hope to have that available later this year.
For information about launching a successful lead generation website using Brilliant Directories, I would recommend checking out some of the articles on our blog: https://www.brilliantdirectories.com/?s=lead
If I get the developer package, is there a way for me to integrate webhooks myself?
Thank you for the question!
With the Developer Tools (Tier 5 AppSumo deal), you have access to view and edit the widgets that contain the code which comprises the frontend of your website. This will allow you to add your own code or edit the existing code to integrate other apps as needed.
Here's a list of the Developer Tools Unlocked with Tier 5:
--- MySQL Database Access
--- Robots.txt File Access
--- HTACCESS File Access
--- cPanel Dashboard Access
--- 301 Redirect Management
--- Access to edit default HTML, PHP, CSS & JS widgets and templates
--- Create your own code snippets: HTML, PHP, CSS & JS
------ With this, you can also write code that connects to your MySQL Database
--- Remote MySQL Access
------ With this, you can read and write to your database from 3rd party apps, tools and websites
Sorry Jeff, I'm still unsure of whether I can create my own webhooks or tap into your API if I get the developer plan. Can you clear that up?
I need to be able to integrate your directory with GoHighLevel, otherwise this won't work for me.
Thanks
I'm not familiar with how integrations with this particular app work, and I wasn't able to find anything after doing a quick search through their website. But with the Tier 5 Plan, you are very likely to have the access necessary to do the integration you are looking for. There is also a 60 day refund window for any AppSumo purchases, so if you aren't able to set it up the way you need, you can always get a refund in the next 2 months.
really all we need to do is pass the lead information (name, email and phone#) of someone who signs up to claim their listing into a Google Sheet and I cold do the rest on my end from there.
How are people currently doing the 3rd party application integrations? And can you give some examples of what apps people are integrating with?
There are typically 3 types of integrations users will do:
1) Add a new custom widget or edit an existing custom widget to send information to another app when a specific event happens (form submitted, clicking a button, etc)
2) Use a remote database connection from their 3rd party app to pull or push information to their Brilliant Directory site's database.
3) Embed functionality from another app into their Brilliant Directories site using a javascript widget.
All 3 of these types of customizations can be done with a tier 5 AppSumo deal.
I've seen customers make integrations with Google Business reviews, Muut Forums, Hubspot, Tawk.io, TypeForm, Mailchimp, among others.
Hi Nat!
We have some new updates regarding your question about Webhooks. :)
Based on the feedback of Sumolings and our own community, we have begun adding broad platform integrations through our new Webhooks functionality. This functionality is part of the "Developer Tools" currently included in the Tier 5 AppSumo plan.
With the current functionality, data submitted through forms on a Brilliant Directories website can also optionally be sent to any Webhook URL, including Zapier, Pabbly Connect, an individual Platform API endpoint, or any other URL that can receive POST data.
The types of forms that currently support this functionality include new member sign ups, lead submissions, newsletter signups, "Contact Us" form submissions, and member review submissions.
In the coming weeks we also have another update on the way which will support sending the data of posts created or edited by members to a Webhook URL as well (articles, events, properties, coupons, etc).
And in the coming months we plan to roll out additional functionality to also receive data from other platforms through our own API Endpoints. This will allow creating members, posts, leads, and reviews based on data submitted from another platform.
For more information about the Webhooks functionality, please see this video (https://www.brilliantdirectories.com/blog/send-brilliant-directories-website-member-data-to-mailchimp-using-zapier) and this article from our documentation (https://bootstrap.brilliantdirectories.com/support/solutions/articles/12000083005). And here is an article showing an example of sending data to Zapier using a Webhook (https://bootstrap.brilliantdirectories.com/support/solutions/articles/12000082977).
If you have any other questions, please let us know!
I wondered about GHL too. I do not want to pay for Zapier. I have Pabbly but not great at the tech to make everything talk to each other.
