Q: Is it possible to have 2 different homepages with 2 different domains but using the same database?

I'm in the market for finding a developer to build something like this for me and this can save me some time and hassle.

Using Real Estate as an Example:
Domain1 - Homepage for Foreclosure (niche)
Domain2 - Homepage for Selling (niche)

For someone selling their home. They don’t need to see information about foreclosures.

A: This is a really interesting question, Jaxon.

So, each domain would need it's own license.

You can easily set them up as their own websites... no problem.

To automatically update each site's database together, that would require a customization with a developer (unless you have the ability to work with MYSQL databases).

With Tier 5, your developer tools are unlocked.

You would be able to setup Remote SQL connections so that each site's database can read and write to each other to "share" their data.

You can always connect with a Partner in the BD Marketplace for a development quote for accomplishing something like this with your BD websites: https://marketplace.brilliantdirectories.com/search_results?tid=5

Some alternatives to consider since all your data is going to be in a single database visitors could search and retrieve from either sets of data unless you implement a fair amount of developer code to restrict that. Maybe create a "Homes For Sale Page", and a "Foreclosure Page" within BD and promote either of those pages with a search query included in the URL - and maybe a URL shortener like Switchy to look nice and capture stats. Easily add 2 menu items at the top of both pages to pick one or the other. I don't think BD supports CNAMEs but you may be able to add an ALIAS DNS record to even look like 2 different domains.

Thanks for the quick reply.

It looks like I'll be needing (3) Tier 5 to achieve my goal.

Follow up question:
After just looking over the demo site front and backend.
Is it possible to use the Len-Gen to capture customer info and depending on their location using a drop-down by State/County they will be redirected to a member serving that area?

And somehow can get an email sequence from that particular member?

I know this is not a typical question and probably is more advance but I'm trying to see if its better to start with a frame (BD) or from scratch.

Hi Jaxon!

Some of what you said is actually quite common.

With the "Detect Visitor Location" add-on, the website can grab the visitor's location based on their IP, and pre-fill any location input field in the lead form or a search form.

More about that here: https://www.brilliantdirectories.com/detect-visitor-locations

The system can send a follow up email after a visitor fills out a lead form, but not an ongoing email sequence right now. Hope that helps a bit!
